I went into the buck pen and managed to come out without smelling like a buck! It's either my lucky day, or I have covid and don't know it. 😂

We had a great show at the Tulsa State Fair this year! It was all about the juniors this time, and we had several 1st place, 2nd place wins, a few 3rd-4th... KidCo LM Terebinth (jr Nigerian) was grand in both rings, and our Oberhasli took turns with grand, Kit Kat was grand under Cockburn and Kisses was grand under Robinette. Oh, and KidCo LM Hoof Hearted took reserve in the unsanctioned youth show. Lots of ribbons to add to our collection!

I'm going to go ahead and let go of this little 2 year old 2nd freshener. I have gone back and forth (a lot) on whether or not I should keep her, but I've finally worked up the nerve to list her. This is
KidCo LM Back Seat Baby
(Jacksons Royal R Love Machine x KidCo LE Porsche 5*M)

She is bottom of the pecking order here, and gets beat up a lot. I went ahead and dried her up pretty early so she could focus on putting on a little weight without having to make milk too. She's still a bit awkward and immature-looking, but she is a sweetie and has a lot of nice pieces. Priced very reasonably, and I can make you a package deal with the very nice buck kid I have available, or I could breed her to one of my bucks for a fee.

These are the buck kids I held back from this year's buck-splosion. I think I had about 25 nice bucks to pick from, and these 3 have made it this far. I thought it would be easier to decide which was my favorite if I clipped them up and took pretty pictures, it didn't work.

In for a penny, in for a pound I guess! We brought in an Oberhasli buck to get this adventure started off right! This guy has been working in the Vanjust herd for the past few years, and after taking notice of a few of his gorgeous daughters I contacted Brandi about possibly reserving a buck kid of his in the spring, but she said that Diesel himself was available! Telitha and I decided to bring him here to OK, and put him to work making more beautiful daughters. Shortly after arriving here, he snagged 2nd place Get of Sire at Nationals for the Vanjust herd, which is pretty dang exciting if you ask me!

Here's an official introduction for the two Oberhasli kids I picked up a few months ago. A few things to note; Kisses dam was 2nd place/2nd udder 2 year old at 2023 ADGA Nationals, Kit Kat's dam was a top ten milker in 2021, and their sire's dam is SGCH Heaven's Hollow Shi Saylor 7*M, the 2023 National Champion.

This should be fun!

We spent the day in Norman yesterday, for the Heartland/Arbuckle youth show. Laylie and Starlight did great, and they earned a grand and an unrestricted leg! Woohoo! We didn't get home until 1 am this morning, but it was definitely worth it. I decided to skip the open show today, for a much needed break. I am rooting for all my friends still in Norman, from my air-conditioned house! 🤣

We made the quick trip to Neosho yesterday, and just showed the one day. I am sure glad we did, despite being exhausted from the past several weeks of tornadoes, work, and shows. I had some really nice class placings, with two does in each line-up. Matilda managed to snag a reserve, behind a doe that finished in the ring prior! This should make my lovely Matilda our most recent finished champion!
I also managed to snag some pretty pictures of her daughter KidCo LM Going For Baroque (Jacksons Royal R Love Machine x GCH KidCo FS Waltzing Matilda 5*M) Baroque is a 2 yo FF, with excellent depth of body, lovely flat bone, and an absolutely socked on udder. Can't wait to see how she matures!

We went to the Sunflower doe-down yesterday. There were exactly one million beautiful Nigerians in attendance, and we had some decent class placings. I feel like Matilda could have done a little better if she had decided to make milk, but I am pretty proud of where we stood anyway. Here is the exciting bit of news though, we picked up a couple of pretty Oberhasli babies! (Two of the babies are ours, the one in the back is for a friend) This going to be fun!

SOLD
I have a Lamancha buck kid available. This is the littermate to the kid I had in the Green Country sale this past weekend. I'm willing to let him go at a discount because I'd like to move him. Can be delivered to Salina, Ks this weekend, or possibly some other shows coming up.
This buck kid's dam is GCH (pending) Landrun MH Bahama Mama *M (pending). Bahama scored VVVV 86 as a 3 year old second freshener. The appraiser loved her, and fully expected her to improve with subsequent scores/freshenings. She comes in full and ready to milk every day, twice a day, and takes her job as a milker very seriously. Though I haven't been on milk test since ADGA has not awarded stars of late... She is currently milking around 13 lbs per day.
This buck kid's sire is Rockin-CB KMM Ninja, a son of the 2021 National Champion Rockin-CB RZ Haiku. And his sire's sire's dam is the 2019 Reserve National Champion. Double whammy national does!!!

The buck kid is very correct, looong, smoothly blended, with a nice substance of bone, and a really correct rump. I don't think you can go wrong using this guy as your next herd sire, the genetics are there, the general appearance is there, and his dam MILKS!

Please visit our website for more info www.kidconigerians.weebly.com

Our goal is to breed Nigerian Dwarf Goats that MILK and SHOW, and I believe I've put together a wonderful little herd! NEW for 2019 I signed up for ADGA PLUS! So I will be participating in both DHI and LA for 2019, and I'm very excited for the future of my herd. We test our Nigerians for CAE and Johne's yearly, in addition we bottle-feed ALL kids on CAE PREVENTION, none of our Nigerians have ever had a CL abscess, and Oklahoma is a Brucellosis-free state.
