Lola has been getting her nails trimmed by me for the past 5 yrs. Sometimes she's cooperative other times she's a wiggle worm, but we get it done & she always looks forward to her freeze dried beef liver treat!

If you own an older cat please check the nails as they change as they age. Many times they curve & grow into their pad, as seen here. I coached this person on how to cut the nail free & now they will soak in epsom salt solution. If doesn't improve the cat already has a vet appt.

Cute Kali needs a new home. Many unfortunate circumstances for the owner. I met her, she is sweet, calm & loving. @ 22 lbs. She even wanted to go walk in the rain after the owner attached her leash. Notes from owner, 'Healthy 11 year old female dachshund/miniature pinscher mix.
Kali has a very sweet temperament, is housebroken, good with other dogs, cats and children.
Enjoys walks and playing catch. Especially loves belly rubs."

4 yr old Falcor needs a home. His owner is being evicted Monday. She doesn't own a car & is asking me to pick up her cat tomorrow. He's a very sweet,playful, large neutered male cat. Routine vaccs are up to date. Any help is appreciated.

I've personally fostered 6 Labs, it's so rewarding & has saved their lives. They all went to great homes that I chose. Here were a couple of them.



Make the 2024 the best yet by helping dogs in need and doing something that lifts your spirits. We are currently looking for:

FAMILY REPS - Screen adoptive families and complete a home visit. Then act as a liaison helping foster families and adoptive families connect.

FOSTER REPS - Welcome a dog into your home at NO COST to you. Treat the dog as your own providing love, medical attention, discipline, and structure. Then meet adoptive families and choose the right forever home. All expenses (medical and food) are covered by SCLRR.

This little guy was adopted out of the shelter by an elderly man. The shelter vet thought the dog was fine, but when the elderly man brought the dog home, he became ill. The dog actually had a fractured pelvis and a ruptured diaphragm and has had complications since that surgery. Needless to say, the older man is on a fixed income & so his daughter started a Go fund me. I met the daughter, donated & she's been giving me updates. If you can afford even $10, please help.

Family is trying to help their elderly Dad who rescued this dog from the Riverside shelter, he needs his diaphragm repaired, he was thin & injured upon entering the shelter, but now has a living home, but the man wasn't quite expecting surgery.
