The Desert Haven Inn. And, Daniel and myself would like to personally THANK each and every one of you!
Thank you for not only being there for ALL the animals we've saved and rescued but THANK you for being there for us to! This year has been a rough one on us from losing some great senior dogs we've saved, losing our beloved Artemis, our Anniebear, buddy the pup with epilepsy. Tazzy cats! To my mother, Danny's nephew, his brother and recently my step father. You have been there through ALL of our good times and our pain like myself battling cancer.
We bought this property 3 yrs ago. We had a vision of saving animals to help save humans suffering. I personally know dogs can do wonders. Like how Anniebear was able to detect my seizures before they happen. I know personally how dogs can benefit those suffering ptsd. We know there has been many changes along the way, learning from others like Jackie and Amy with GCHS, Sam with Shelteramutt, Kim with Faith and Hope, Rita with Braver Hund Rescue. Several sanctuaries including folks at lambs farm. Our veterinarians like Dr Sam, and others have taught us greatly too. We appreciate our local folks at the co op allowing us to ask all the questions we do. We appreciate our OG family/community. Christinas place and BDP for cooking the good food you do. Thank you for opening your hearts and knowledge to two guys from the Midwest. Thank you for not judging us. Thank you for allowing our family to feel welcome. We know not everyone has been accepting. But a great friend one said... Only cowards message you with hateful words-too embarrassed by their poor behavior to publicly shame you. Insecure people,
just want you to feel bad because they are miserable people themselves, envious that you have so much support and encouragement. Don’t take it to heart. It’s not a reflection on you but very telling of their own lack of values and sense self worth.
We want to thank our board members for joining us on this mission. Thank you for caring about humans and animals lives.
We also want to thank Patty and Victor, Mr Ellis and Mr Tobin and Renee Chapa. Thank you very very much for being there with us with Willow.
We learned saving animals takes a village, y'all didn't know us from Adam to Eve yet when we needed help. You came no questions asked.
We also want to thank Mr O for doing our well pump. Mr Hale for always being there when we need ac/furnace work. Thank you to first class plumbing for our plumbing needs.
Most of all thank you for putting up with my mouth! I know it can sometimes get me into trouble because I speak from my heart.
Lastly our followers, sponsors, donors and helpers, Gtek family and Nueces co op electric, Mr Oscar who mows for us, Corpus Christi dumpster service for our needs. Thank you for believing in us! Thank you for not listening to the rescue drama and standing behind us. Without all of you the sanctuary wouldn't be here. We struggle yes, but telling us Karma and God are the same, one day they'll be in the same position as we are now. That you are greatful we've helped all those animals. It's exhausting and emotional and physically exhausting yes. But we did/do it for them. We thank you for that.
