Focused Pet Care (est. 2022) by Dr. Tim Holloway is a new veterinary service assisting general practitioners in Orange Park, Jacksonville, and surrounding areas. Providing high-quality routine and advanced dentistry as well as outpatient soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, we strive to partner with DVMs in top notch patient care. We are available to handle comprehensive and emergency procedures,

while alleviating potential scheduling restraints.

Dr. Tim Holloway, originally from South Florida, has been a Jacksonville resident for nearly 15 years and is married to Dr. Stephanie Holloway - a Jacksonville native - and has two children. Their passion for companion animals is unmatched in veterinary surgery and dentistry. They have 25 years of experience combined in general practice, emergency, and critical care settings. Dr. Stephanie Holloway is completing her dental residency here after an 18-month mentorship in San Diego, CA under Dr. Brook Niemiec of Veterinary Dental Specialties. Veterinarians are encouraged to reach out for second opinions, support, and questions! Charlie, a brave 4-year-old coonhound, recently had quite the adventure! 🐾✨

When his owners left, Charlie got anxious and accidentally kicked his arm through a window, causing severe bleeding 🩸. His quick-thinking pet sitter rushed him to our ER at 3 AM, and we sprang into action.

Upon arrival, Charlie was in shock from blood loss. Within minutes, our dedicated team at Focused Pet Care Referral and Emergency Center had an IV in place 💉, providing fluids and strong pain medicine. Once stabilized, he underwent a sedated procedure to stop the bleeding and close the wound 🏥.

We’re thrilled to report that Charlie is now on the mend and showing his resilience! 💙🐕‍🦺

🐾💖 Patient Story: Meet Queen, a brave 2-year-old pitbull who came to us with severe vaginal hyperplasia and prolapse. After an emergency spay to reduce hormone production, her care required her owners to be diligent, applying sterile lubricant every 4 hours and keeping her in a diaper to keep the area clean. Thanks to their dedication and our team's care, Queen made a full recovery and her tissue was back to normal at her two-week recheck. 👑💞

👉 Tip: Vaginal hyperplasia and prolapse can often be managed with timely veterinary intervention and diligent home care. Spaying can help reduce hormone levels and assist in the recovery process. 🐶💖

🐾 Chase 🐾

This sweet Golden Retriever puppy had a scare after swallowing an owl toy! 🦉😱 Chase was vomiting and had a decreased appetite, which are telltale signs of a foreign body ingestion. Thanks to Dr. Mizesko, who performed emergency surgery, Chase is now living a healthy, normal life! 🎉🐶

Important Reminder: If your pet is normally food-oriented but stops eating or drinking, bring them in immediately. Early intervention is crucial! 🏥❤️

Gobbles came to our ER with a rash, lethargy, and a decreased appetite. Thanks to Lani, our dedicated vet tech, Gobbles received immediate care and is now on the road to recovery with antibiotics and steroids.

Meet Rico! 🐾

Rico was brought into our ER on a Sunday afternoon by a good samaritan after they found him limping on the side of the road. He was diagnosed with a fractured left ulna and radius. Over the weekend, he was kept stable, placed on strong pain meds, and had his fracture splinted. Two days later, Dr. Neihaus and his team at Elite Veterinary Surgery of Florida came to our clinic to do the fracture repair. Rico is now recovering amazingly post-op! He loves his new owner, Tori, who is one of our amazing technicians. Big shout out to F.U.R. for their financial support to help him get the gold standard care he needed!

Rico is one of the almost 1,500 patients we have been able to care for since we opened our doors this past April 1st! We are so thankful for the incredible support from our community as we continue to grow and serve the pets and their families in Orange Park. Your trust and encouragement mean the world to us! We love our patients, staff, and clients, and we love what we are accomplishing together!
