⚠️Important! Please be aware there is a current bloom of harmful blue-green algae in Clay County in Doctors Lake. The so-called “algae” is not actually a type of algae but a bacteria known as cyanobacteria and it can be toxic to canines and most often fatal.

❓Cyanobacteria isn’t visible to the naked eye so just because you can’t see the blue green tint doesn’t mean it’s not there.

❗️Keep your dogs out of the water to avoid exposure. No swimming in Doctor’s Lake!

Symptoms of toxicity include:

Diarrhea or vomiting
Drooling
Increased heart rate
Elevated liver enzymes
Lethargy / Weakness
Disorientation/confusion
Unconsciousness
Seizures
Breathing difficulties

If you feel your pet has been in contact with blue-green algae please rinse with freshwater immediately to avoid further exposure , take a sample of the water if possible and seek veterinary help immediately if your pet has become ill after exposure.

What a lovely sight! Wouldn't it be great if all of the dogs that I boarded knew how to use the potty in this manner. Lol Not really, I enjoy taking them outside and spending time with them in the yard.

Today is the 23rd anniversary of my kidney and pancreas transplant! It's so great to be alive and off dialysis!! I love my life and what I do!❤️🐾❤️

It's so great to be boarding my babies again! I love what I do! 2600 sq. Ft of doggie heaven! We only accept up to 2 families and pets must be under 30lbs. " We specialize in Little guys".

It is so great to be open again. I had to stop accepting sweet doggies at our Inn for about 4 months due to illness. Thank goodness I'm better because I sure missed all my doggy friends♥️🐾♥️
