Ava has been with the TACT K9 family since she was day one. We took her family’s dog Kali to the hospital when she was born. Kali was the first service dog we trained away from our mentors facility. Ava helps us train dogs and is getting very good at it. We love having her help us!

Great weekend spent with our doggo families getting their steps in with us during our AKC Fit Dog Summer Walk. We are grateful for all of you.

Thank you Burke and Kellie for fostering Poppy! We at TACT K9 have so much confidence with you guys!
If you did not know they were our first client since started TACT K9 Handling and trained their dog Phil Collins up to a service dog level. Then we loved Phil so much that we decided to get his cousin Phyllis. Burke flew Phyllis all the way from Kansas for us 🙏
We know that Poppy is in good hands and paws with this family. They are truly TACT K9 and BlueSpec K9 family.
And just a reminder: Poppy is available for adoption in about a year. She is being trained to be an autism or psychological service dog.

Brody is doing great! Most in part of his handler following all of our suggestions. One of them was to use that leash in the house! It’s not just for walks. It’s your training tool!

Our 2nd walk of the year is right around the corner. We’re getting ready to have some fun while getting our steps in with you and your doggos.

11-1pm in Huntington Beach
All dogs must be on a 6ft or shorter leash. All dogs must be handled by their owners.
No nose to nose touching. Everyone must be respectful of others space.
This will be a controlled social event.

*Certificate of Participation
*AKC FIT DOG Paperwork will be provided for those seeking FIT DOG Titles
*Canine Good Citizen Evaluations after event for those seeking CGC, CGCA, and Trick Dog Titles. Must let us know in advance if interested in testing.
*Canine Good Citizen Evaluations are $35 per dog.

Our first walk of the year is just around the corner. February 17th. Check in is at 10:45. Walk starts at 11.

Open to all good doggos and their pawrents. This is not a training session. This is an AKC Tact K9 Handling FIT DOG Club Walk. All dogs must be handled by their owners and must be on a leash at all times. Please be mindful of other dog owners by giving each other space.

We encourage Valentine colors to be worn by all. There will be a Photo Booth, raffle, and good fun.

$25 per dog which includes participation certificates and AKC FIT DOG Dana’s. $10 for additional doggos.

Teaching a dog “place” is a fundamental skill all dogs should have. It comes in handy in so many situations. Having a platform helps teach this. We love our Klimb platforms for training. Having one by your front door is an awesome way to teach door manners. Check out our website for more info.

Hello and Happy New Year. We’ve come across another dog needing a home. This little guy is just over two months old and is a husky mix. The owner isn’t able to handle a puppy at this time and one of our good friends is currently caring for him.

We haven’t trained this dog. This dog will need vaccinations, crate training, and potty training although at this time he is doing pretty well. He is sweet, loves kids, and is currently in a home with a very young child. He’s cute too.

Great day training with Kevin and Ryan. We’re so proud of them taking their dogs into their own hands. Phyllis and Roxie couldn’t be happier.
This phase of training is all about the guys learning the commands to direct their dogs accordingly. Working with young adults on the spectrum can be challenging but is our specialty. Seeing the confidence and the independence these service dogs give Kevin and Ryan is the ultimate reward for us as dog trainers.

We are happy to announce that Fozzie has found a new home. We got a report this morning that his new sister Winnie and him are doing great with each other. We are so happy that both doggos will be training with us once our group classes start up next year.
But back to Fozzie and Winnie! Aren’t they the cutest pair?

Happy Heavenly Birthday to Tact K9’s Grandma Nylda. This was the last dog event she was able to attend before her passing. We truly wouldn’t be here without her love and support.

She’s right behind me in this picture along with our Tact K9 family behind her. We are grateful she was able to share in our joy of working with dogs and their people.

Thank you to all our team members and our doggos families for being so understanding when we needed to take a break to care for our dear loved one. We will always be grateful for the time we had with her and will continue on in her honor.
