The Crimson Acres/Dare to Dream banquet is next Sunday - November 10th at 5:00 at Ellinwood Country Club. The banquet is catered by Black Crow Catering. Tickets are $20 per person. During the evening we will present year end awards for Crimson Acres shows and games nights, recognize IEA and Drill Team riders, and present a few Dare to Dream awards. If you plan to attended, please notify Jenn Ames by Monday, November 4th. You can pay at the door, but we need numbers to let the caterers know how many to prepare for.

Thank you to all of those that came out to support all of our drill teams. All of the teams did an amazing job today! All of the teams have been working tirelessly since the end of January. Some teams going from Jogging teams to almost fully loping teams. Every team has developed into an amazing team, and it shows with all the placings in the virtual competitions!

We would like to thank all of our: Phil Whitmore, Jill Bastine, Maura Gannon
Without all of our coaches, we would not be where we are today.

We have one more competition left that we will be filming in a few weeks, and that will sadly bring an end to our drill team season.

Thank you all again for all of your support throughout the year, and to all the parents that have ensured your kids get to practices! It is greatly appreciated!

As of right now, the demo is still ON. It looks like the rain will clear in the next hour or so. First team riding will start promptly at 3pm!

JV team: 1st Place
Youth team: 2nd place
Non-lope team: 1st place
Novice team: 6th place
(Non-lope and novice were combined divisions so was a bigger division)

Well it’s that time of year!! Our 5 drill teams just submitted their entries into a virtual competition. Once all the placings are out we will post the videos, and the placings! All of the teams have come so far this year!

We will be hosting a drill team demo on Memorial Day starting at 3:00PM (Rodeo Drill). Come out to support all of the teams, and watch how far these teams have come!

Raffle Fundraiser to support The Amadon Family who lost their barn to a horrific fire. The barn, all of its contents and equipment are a total loss. Our dear friend, Kayla Coburn Amadon has been our equine dentist for years, she is a huge part of the equine community and is the first to support anyone in need; spearheading many of the fundraisers we have done in the past herself! We would like to give back and help her and her family in recovering from this huge loss.

We want to start by congratulationing all the teams that competed in the Rodeo Drill competition!
Rodeo drills are a little different than we usually ride but this year we decided to get all of our teams competing in the virtual competitions ( thank you Heidi Hampton Young for making this possible )
Each team has worked hard and it defiantly showed with each performance ! We have listed the links to each Drill below .. we hope you enjoy !!

The Glory Riders brought home 1st in the Open division !!! Great job ladies !!

Open Division: 3rd Place for the Crimson Acres Glory Riders Drill Team

We had an outstanding showing in the first virtual competition of the year! We are very excited to continue working, and growing as teams! Thank you everyone for your support, and help with everything!

Drill team is back!! A new season is upon us and it is going to be a fantastic year! We have some amazing news! We now have 5 (yes 5) drill teams!! These teams range from ages 8 to 60+! And there are some new horses and riders that have never ridden before!

We just competed in our first virtual competition of the year! We had 4/5 teams compete. Here is the list of our current teams. (Only team not competing is the kids team, but we have some big plans for this team as we continue with the season!)

- Crimson Acres Glory Riders (Loping)
- Crimson Acres Adult JV Glory Riders (Trot/eventually some loping)
- Crimson Acres Walk Trot Adult Glory Riders (Trot/fun team)
- Crimson Acres Youth JV Glory Riders (Trot/some loping)
- Crimson Acres Kids Glory Riders (Trot)

The Adult JV, Adult W/T, Youth and Kids Glory Riders all have some new horses, and some riders that have never ridden drill team before.

This competition consisted of learning a preset pattern and video taping it within 48 hours. To put this in perspective, teams will spend MONTHS learning and perfecting a single drill. We had 48 hours. Our season started approximately 4-5 weeks ago, so these teams have only ridden together maybe 4-5 times prior to learning these drills. Despite these things stacked against us, we went out and did the absolute best we could. And to be honest, every team did pretty amazing! We are super proud of all of our teams for the work everyone put in for this competition. It certainly took a team effort and an amazing community to get these video taped.

Now, we wait for the results to come in, and look forward to our farm competition this summer! We all have weeks of practice together to get ready, and work on our drill that our amazing coach will be writing for us!
