Happy 10th birthday to the Baloo Bear.
No course, book, video or seminar comes close to the amount of knowledge he has taught me about dog training and about myself.
His age reflects a milestone in my dog training journey. Shortly before I got Baloo I lost my dog Jester suddenly and unexpectedly just as I was getting my dog training career started. I felt lost wondering how could I possibly continue without a dog. Baloo quickly picked up where Jester left off. As I grew and learned how to be a better handler, Baloo enthusiastically joined by my side. I’m happy to think of all the dogs he has helped me train over the years.

Training the next generation!! Blake just turned 10 last week and look at this great relationship he is building with his puppy Mocha. About ten years ago I trained Blake’s father Bill Schlette, owner of Ozzie, my dog Baloos brother! When it was time for his family to get another dog he wanted to make sure his son Blake would be able to cultivate the same bond he has with Ozzy.
