Last show of the year at Let’s Show Halloween last weekend was a spectacular way to end the year! So proud of all our horses and riders. We had some amazing decor- thank you to Laura and Lauren for the hours of decorating and team spirit. Congratulations to everyone on the top placings in your classes!

Today at Five Oak we had guest appearances from Cruella Deville, the cow who jumped over the moon, Cookie Monster cantered around, a mounted cop with his jailbird (Mick) showed up, a pilot galloped around on a Flyer and other various clad (belated) Halloween characters. We paraded, competed and played games. Happy Post-Halloween Playday! Thank you to all the participants and families for the energetic team spirit. The Five Oak family rocks!

With the cancelled horse show this last weekend, we decided to throw our own event. We had an educational warm up on equitation on the flat, followed by Grebitus cup style jumper team event and a Chase Me Charlie high jump. Everyone stepped up and we had some amazing jumper riders. Thank you to the amazing group we have at Five Oak for participating and supporting.
Extra thanks to Laura and Lauren for the team sashes, prizes and the mini “Five Oak G Cup” perpetual trophy. Congratulations to our top high jump riders Bronwen, Ella, Maci, and Laura topping out over 4’1!

Delayed post, but I want to thank Kristie LeFreniere for an amazing clinic July 28-29 at Five Oak Farms. Everyone learned a lot and truly enjoyed Kristie’s clear, constructive style of teaching. It was a terrific couple days!

Congratulations to the Five Oak riders for their successful year and multiple placings in the Top Ten year end awards across hunter, equitation and jumper divisions. Reflecting on 2022 with the Five Oak Team, and I have to say it was the best year yet! Thank you to everyone at the barn for making it a remarkable place to be. Whether we are a show, clinic, or having our own holiday play events everyone brings determination, kindness, and positive energy to support each other. Can’t wait for 2023- Happy New Year everyone!!!!

Happy Halloween Everyone! Just wanted to share pictures from our home costume Jumper show.

Terrific costumes and perfect weather. Fast rounds and great support! Fun day all around.

A huge thank you to all the riders, friends and families who not only showed up to participate, but also removed every jump from the arena before I even got there so we could drag and set, and to every rider and friend that decorated and showed up in the cold morning hours to build the course. Lots of yummy food at our celebratory potluck- what a treat after a busy show. Thank you to all the amazing folks who make our barn such a special place.

And as always a huge thank you to my barn manager, Natalie Stultz, who is always quietly working behind the scenes taking care of everything and to Hillary Burns, the dedicated LBEMC HR Director, for always looking out for everyone.

Congratulations to the Five Oak riders who attended the Brookside Beach Party show. Despite the heat and long days, everyone hung in there and rode better and better throughout the week earning a number of top place ribbons. So proud of everyone, beautiful riding and a ton of fun. My favorite Beach Party show ever. From blue ribbon equitation, first time riding in a derby, kicking butt in jumpers, and passing the baton in the jumper relay, there were a lot of smiles.

Happy May! Lots going on for May and June- clinics, shows, barn hangouts and dinners- but I wanted to add a late post from April as I finally got the pictures together.

A huge thank you to Kristie LaFreniere for an amazing clinic in early April at Five Oak. Everyone got something out of it and loved it. A wonderful, positive, constructive and fun weekend for all participants. Thank you! We can’t wait for the next one.

Thank you to Gale and Natalie for being the best barn partners- your hard work, passion, smiles, kindness, and enthusiasm make every day a joy working together.

A special thank you to Langdon for a being such a supportive barn owner and friend- and to Hillary- his right hand woman- who is always there for us. And a huge shout out to Romeo for being simply wonderful and one of the hardest working people I have ever met.

We are so lucky to have our barn family with a shared passion for our magical equines who can bring us unimaginable happiness. Wishing everyone a very happy holiday and a new year of joy!

Lovely 2014 Hanoverian Mare by Landkoenig for sale. “Elsa” has been under saddle for just over a month and is a quick learner, sweet on the ground, and a comfortable ride. She has been ridden in indoor and outdoor arena at walk and trot and has just started cantering and working over ground poles in our large outdoor arena. Started as a 7 yr old, she is coming along quickly and confidently. Mild manner, soft mouth, huge step- this mare could be your next event, dressage or hunter/jumper partner. Owner asking $12K OBO. Congratulations to Piper Janus on her 6th place in the $2000 Cloverleaf Jumpers and her 9th place in the very competitive Cloverleaf Medal Finals with the fabulous Endeavor! A huge thank you to Courtney Morse and mom, Denise, for sharing the incredible boy with us. What a privilege and joy to ride him and work with him- thank you!

Thank you as well to Patty Ball and Kristie LeFreniere for allowing us to partner with you for the show. I always learn so much from you both and love every moment I get to watch and listen to you both coach. Congratulations to Olivia for her 3rd place in the finals! Great week at Brookside Fall Finale and Cloverleaf Finals!

On to Sonoma next week!

Belated, but important…. Congratulations to my Grebitus team riders who had the talent and determination to do their first hugely successful team jumper event, Hunter derby and Equitation all in one weekend. Thank you to the parents and friends who came out to cheer on the riders. Thank you to all of you for our fabulous Saturday night potluck treats. And a huge thank you to trainers Martin Ridgeway and Jackie Lloyd for partnering up with their amazing riders to make our Grebitus team complete. Grebitus 2022- We can’t wait!!!!
