Monument view is excited to welcome Dr. Laura Mazzola to our team!

Dr. Mazzola graduated from the university of Arizona. She is an Arizona native who always dreamed of living in Colorado. She spent most of her undergrad and vet school working with exotics and in zoo/aquarium. She is excited to be working at Monument View and to help all the furry, scaled and feathered friends. Dr. Laura especially enjoys working with exotics but will jump up and down for pugs. We are very happy to have her on our team and part of the MVVH family 🐍🐢🐊🐸🐟🦔🐭🐁🐹🐰🐱🐶

We are excited to announce that we are expanding our building!

For the next few months, we will be working diligently to remodel a portion of our building. We anticipate the remodel to be completed over the summer and appreciate our awesome clients' patience and understanding during this expansion. It may be hectic now but we promise, it will be worth the wait!

The hospital will be closed Thanksgiving day to allow our staff to spend time with their loved ones ❤️

Doctor spotlight: Mindy Basham

Dr. Basham has been with the MVVH family for almost a year now! Read her bio below:

Dr. Mindy Basham is a Grand Junction native. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Colorado State University in 2009. She is happy to re-unite with the veterinarians at Monument View and be a part of a hospital that excels in offering a very high level of care in small animal general practice. Her special interests include preventive care, internal medicine, and ultrasound. Dr. Basham appreciates the human-animal bond and loves helping people and their pets. In her spare-time she enjoys spending time with her family and her dogs, running, lifting weights, watching her kids play sports and enjoys the outdoors.

The summer is winding down and school is starting soon -- the staff at Monument View Veterinary Hospital is available seven days a week for routine, urgent care, and emergency visits! We are always accepting new clients 😻

Hours of operation:
Mon - Fri 8-6
Sat 8-5
Sun 9-5

Urgent care and emergency appointments are scheduled throughout the day, as needed, so please reach out if your pet is in trouble. These types of appointments can include (but not limited to): ear/eye infections, limping, vomiting/diarrhea, dog fights, hit by car and so many more!

On July 23rd we dedicated an entire surgery day to getting 21 cats fixed and one step closer to adoption through LOMA CAT HOUSE GJ!

Our entire team worked diligently into the evening to make sure every single cat admitted that day was spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated for Rabies. We are looking forward to helping the adoptable cats and kittens of the Grand Valley another day soon!
