At SandDancer Canine Swim Fitness, our goal is to serve dog owners or “canine parents” seeking to enhance their pets’ fitness and overall well-being. ine Swim Fitness we provide quality exercise and warm-water workouts for dogs of all ages and health conditions, from young pups to adult dogs to geriatric dogs in need of supervised and guided exercise. At SandDancer Canine Swim Fitness our primary service is an individualized canine warm-water workout based on the dog’s needs, physical condition, age, and water acclimatization and involves a half-hour controlled swim along with massage and movement exercises in the warm supporting waters. Our heated pool was designed and built specifically for this purpose is 4 ft. deep, with water temperature maintained between 88º and 91º F. Warm-water therapy is safe for all dogs, helping to ease muscular tension, increase circulation, and reduce physical and emotional stress in canines as reported by the ACWT. Paddling in a safe, supervised environment, aquatic canine aerobic exercise helps tone muscles with the minimal amount of impact stress in addition to benefiting the dog’s heart and lungs. In fact, according to the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, a 5-minute swim is equivalent to walking five miles. Warm-water exercise is particularly beneficial for elderly and/or arthritic dogs for the same reason it is beneficial for humans: that is, as an ideal environment for low-impact exercise. From a more practical standpoint, the reduced-gravity environment that water provides enables the fitness trainer to easily lift and guide the dog through all phases of the workout. A GREAT SWIMMER! Aldo is a 10 year old rescue dog who came here 2 years ago to help ease the discomfort of arthritis with swimming. He is a very sweet and social dog!

Hudson is a very intelligent dog and likes to swim independently! He is an 8 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix who ruptured a ligament in his rear right leg in the fall of 2022. His mom brought him to SandDancer in December of '22 as an added alternative therapy to help him avoid knee surgery. Hudson was completely healed by the fall of 2023! Way to go Hudson!

Celebrating Angus' 10 year anniversary at SandDancer! He started swimming when he was 3 years old in 2013 to get safe exercise, and now he's swimming weekly to help ease inflammation from his arthritis pain and help his mobility. Celebrating Cheesecake! She started swimming in early 2017 here for pain relief after being diagnosed with bi lateral hip dysplasia and left elbow dysplasia at 20 months old. Swimming was a key factor for Cheesecake to get off of pain medication. Sweet personality and loves her toys in the pool.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Jagger! on 12/21/21 !! Jagger celebrated his 15th birthday swimming!! He swims to keep his muscle mass strong and help with his arthritis. Weekly swims since the spring of 2018🤩. Still gets excited when entering the building and still plays with toys in the pool. Way to go Jagger👏

Meet G***e! 11 year old Husky, both rear legs have torn cruciate ligaments and he starting swimming here less than a month ago. G***e's mom has seen a dramatic improvement with his mobility after 3 sessions😃. YEAH G***e!! No surgery!!
