Everyone here at OVC would like to give a sincere โ€œThank youโ€ to all of our amazing clients that have called, sent emails or cards, and dropped off wonderful treats for us. The kind words of encouragement and thanks truly remind us how lucky we are that the majority of our clients are very kind and appreciate us and the work that we do for their furry family members.
Thank you again!!

08/24/2022

We want to thank the majority of our clients who have shown us an immeasurable amount of patience and kindness throughout the past few years with the pandemic, staff shortages, and other changes. We understand there are circumstances that come up that cause frustration, however, we can no longer allow clients to take out their frustrations on our team members.
Moving forward, we will give our clients only one warning on an instance of unacceptable behavior. Continued actions after being asked to stop or a second instance will result in our management dismissing you from any further services from our clinic and sending you a copy of your petโ€™s records in the mail. Swearing, yelling, demeaning, and threatening will no longer be tolerated.

Dr. Rachel Orvick and Dr. Jim Stevenson

Our phones and internet have been down since 11am this morning.

Spectrum currently has technicians working on solving the issue which is effecting Oregon and surrounding areas and US Cellular phone service also.

We apologize for any inconvenience and we will reply to emails as soon as we are able to receive them if that is before 6pm. Otherwise we will get to them in the am.

This FB post will not be monitored for questions since we do not have internet at the clinic. I had to drive until I found service.

02/08/2022

Our lobby will be closed from 12:30pm-1:15pm tomorrow, 2/9/22, for a team meeting.

01/11/2022

Just a reminder... We are sending out vaccine and heartworm test reminders 3-4 months in advance due to our current schedule being out into April for wellness visits. PLEASE call as soon as you receive the reminder in the MAIL.

If you are wondering when your pet is due, please go to our website, oregonvetclinic.com, and use the ePet Health link to see when and what they are due for.

We are continuing to allow ONE person in per appointment and we are requiring masks to be worn per the Dane County Mandate. However, you no longer need to wait in your vehicle and call for check in, food, prescriptions, or surgery drop-offs. Just come on in and stop at the front desk to check in. We ask that you maintain social distancing, we will have marks on the floor to help ensure this. If a room is immediately available, they will have you wait there until the technician or doctor is available. We are still asking that you remain in the room after your appointment is completed until everything is ready for you to check out. Either the technician or receptionist will let you know when they are ready for you.
We are still dealing with team shortages and they are all extremely busy, so please keep your visit at the front desk brief. This will also help maintain social distancing and allow for the next client to leave the room and complete their visit.
As always, we please ask that you be patient and respectful to all of our team members during your interactions with them.

12/09/2021

We will be closed on December 24th, 25th, 31st, and January 1st.

Happy Holidays from us all at OVC!!

NEW HOURS

Starting on August 2nd we will be adapting our hours due to staffing shortages. As we continue to search for skilled team members, we have had to make the decision to shorten our hours.

We will now be closing at 6pm Mon-Fri. Please plan accordingly with these changes.

As we continue the search, we ask that you please be patient and respectful to our team members as they are doing their very best to keep up with everything and provide the very best care that they can for your furry, four-legged, family members.

Thank you for your understanding and kindness!!

UPDATE ON SERVICE PROTOCOL

To the clients of Oregon Veterinary Clinic:

The health and well-being of your pet, family, and our team members are top priority. As the situation around the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we are planning to make a few changes to our โ€œCurbside onlyโ€ appointments.

We are aware of the changes to the mask mandates and will slowly be transitioning from our curbside service. Starting July 8th, 2021, we will be starting to allow 1 es**rted client per appointment back inside with their pets.

With everyone's safety in mind, our team will ask that you follow a few important safety protocols:

1. Limit to one owner in the building with your pet. The exception will be for euthanasia appointments.
2. Face coverings will be REQUIRED at ALL TIMES inside the hospital if you are not fully vaccinated.
3. If you are sick, or have been sick within the last 10 days, we ask that you reschedule your appointment or have someone else bring your pet to the appointment.
4. Please call our office upon arrival for your appointment and remain in your vehicle. Our staff will check you in over the phone and then will call you, or come get you, to es**rt you into the building to an exam room.
5. We will be limiting the time that our team is in the room and your pet may be taken to our treatment area to complete the exam and/or treatment. If further time is needed to discuss the appointment, a follow up call may be necessary.
6. We will let you know when they are ready to have you proceed to the check out, please DO NOT exit the room until that time. After checking out, we ask that you promptly exit the building. .
7. If you are picking up a medication/food, picking up a surgery patient, or dropping of a fecal/urine sample please remain in your vehicle and call to let us know that you are here. This is still being done via curbside to limit the number of clients in the lobby.

***ONLY CLIENTS BEING ESCORTED IN BY AN EMPLOYEE, WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING. ALL OTHERS WILL BE ASKED TO RETURN TO THEIR VEHICLE AND CALL US. If you are not able/willing to follow the above guidelines, you will be asked to remain outside, and we will be more than happy to continue with our curbside service or reschedule your appointment.***

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding while we continue to ensure the safety of our team members and our community.

UPDATE ON SERVICE PROTOCOLS

To the clients of Oregon Veterinary Clinic:

We will be continuing curbside service at least for a few more weeks.

We have been trying to get a few maintenance items scheduled during the pandemic, and as many of you know, trying to schedule any โ€œtradesโ€ services has been very hard to do as they are scheduling out further than they have in the past. We are still waiting on a few items to be completed that require some of our common spaces to not be accessible for safety reasons.

The other reason is a little bit more complicated and hopefully wonโ€™t take longer than our repairs:
Throughout the pandemic we were considered โ€œessential medical personnelโ€ allowing us to stay open when a lot of other businesses were forced to close. If we are still considered a medical facility, we will have completely different guidelines regarding masking, cleaning protocols, and distancing. To ensure that we are in compliance with all of the rules, we will be waiting for further guidance from the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association.

During this time, we ask that you please be patient with all of our team members, as they do not have any control over whether clients are allowed in the building.

We thank you for your cooperation and understanding and will keep you updated as to when we are able to get back to our normally scheduled appointments.
