Half-Way Home Animal Rescue (Illinois) We are a foster-based, non-profit, all breed animal rescue Together we are saving hundreds of animal lives annually.

OUR FIRST ADOPTION EVENT OF 2025‼️

These cutie patooties will be at Runnings this Sunday 1/5 from 12-3pm. 15830 S Bell Road in Homer Glen. They are all hoping their furever family is out there seeing this post and will come to meet them on Sunday!

If you are interested in adopting any of these pets, please apply now at hwhanimalrescue.com‼️ If you have already sent us an application, they are being processed today and tomorrow, so please be patient. If it’s been more than a week and you haven’t heard back please send a follow up email and include your application again. Thank you!

Day 2 of 2025 is here. Are you working toward any goals of improving your heart health? Consider adopting a new furry friend! According to heart.org petting a beloved pet can lower your blood pressure. Take a look at our gorgeous Fearured Foster Pets of the Day, Usher and Britney Spears. Both kittens are snuggly and affectionate. Usher and Britney are 4.5 month old bonded siblings who could be identical twins they look so much alike.

Usher is the larger of the two. He likes to cuddle and have his ears scratched. The next thing you know he starts purring and his eyes start to close.

Britney also enjoys cuddling. While her brother and the other fosters are playing she likes to snuggle with her foster mom for some one on one time.

Usher’s favorite toy is any wand toy. Britney likes toys she can carry in her mouth and she doesn’t like sharing. She may be the smallest but she has the cutest little growl when the other fosters eye her toys.

These two sweethearts are friendly, energetic, playful, and so very cute.

This here is Jesse! She is our Featured Foster Pet of the Day. She is the sister of PJ, who was our Featured Pet earlier this week. So many of you liked, shared and commented on PJ’s post so we ask you to do the same for Jesse’s post. Jesse has also been passed over at every single adoption event for the past few months. We don’t know why these two super sweet siblings are still in the rescue and don’t have homes for the holidays. Let’s do our best to try to find their adopters….we know they’re out there!
