It’s time to meet Monday’s Most Pawsome Pup, our very own Mr. T look-a-like, Oliver! Oliver is a 9-10 year old 17 lb Ewok/cairn terrier mix. 😜 He has the sweetest face with huge eyes, big bushy eyebrows, a tongue that just won’t stay in his mouth, a natural Mohawk and a goatee.
When Oliver came into the rescue several months ago his skin was in bad shape due to an allergy that was left untreated. After a diet change and introducing allergy meds his skin is all healed up but the fur on his back has not filled in completely. When Oliver went for blood work before his neuter and dental, a mild heart murmur was discovered. He is not on any meds for this and has no limitations. The bloodwork also showed that his thyroid levels were off but with the help of a very inexpensive pill twice a day this sweet silver fox is ready for adoption and deserves to find a family to call his own.
Oliver adores his people. He will follow you from room to room and curl up for a snooze 😴 wherever he can see you. He is house trained, crate trained, loves to go for walks, sleeps through the night (and well into the morning most days), loves to eat and would really enjoy being the king of the castle. He does tolerate other respectful dogs, especially females, but he would love to snuggle with you all on his own. Oliver is fine with cats as well.
