As many of you know we love to foster as much as possible. Being a stepping stone in a dog's journey to finding their perfect forever home is truly rewarding. We have worked with the Pixel Fund for a few years now and these posts happen almost weekly. The sad truth is there isn't enough fosters, puppies and dogs are being euthanized daily. Common reasons people don't foster is it's hard to see them go when they get adopted. Most adopters understand the attachment fosters have and will send updates 🙂 Another reason is I already have a dog that doesn't like others. Even these homes can foster, a shelter dog would be so much happier in a home even if they have to share family time. The biggest reason we hear the most is I work too much and don't have enough time for a dog. That's where we would like to help! We would like to offer any new local fosters 2 days a week of free doggy daycare! The Pixel Fund rescues dogs from high kill shelters and brings them up here to get adopted. Some dogs and puppies who come up are pre-adopted and just need a short term foster for health holds. A foster application can be found at the Pixel Fund .org. Fosters from other rescues are welcomed as well! If you can't foster a dog there's always plenty of cats and kittens to foster as well! Even if you can't become a foster, rescues could always use volunteers. Please reach out with any questions! These 3 puppies already found their foster homes but are still looking for their forever homes!

Hey Kampers! With the temps being so high for the rest of the week especially Wednesday and Thursday, we want to take some precautions. Safety being top priority and fun a close second! That being said, if you don't need to bring your dog Weds and Thurs please leave them home in front of the cool Ac :) If you would like to swap days and come Friday instead that's ok too! For those that still need to come we have plenty of sunblock, fresh water and cooling stations. We will keep the play groups small and calm with access to cool shelter at all times. Please reach out if you have any questions, or want to swap days :)

Hey everyone! Our local dog kennel Kamp k-9 is now accepting bottle redemption to help journey get her upcoming acl surgery in july. An offleash run in the field resulted in her tearing both of her acls , to have a normal life she needs this surgery! She’s only 4 to young to be so restricted, for potty breaks she has to go out in a sling! Reach out for more information 🙂 thank you for all of the support through this difficult time!❤️

Hey guys we have a temporary detour with the driveway! There is a giant sink hole in the middle of the driveway which unfortunately blocks using the loop. I have put up barrels to block the flat part of the driveway so you will have to use the hill side and then back down. If it's easier we can meet you across the street to get your dog as well! Hopefully this can be resolved soon yay mud season!

Hey everyone you have been so great helping us out with different fundraisers and it's so much appreciated ! Bailey and I have started volunteering at the Bucksport Animal Shelter and they could really use some beds to get them up off the floor! Many of you like to get us gifts this time of year and as much as we love them we would much rather it go to helping these dogs. They have 5 kennels so the goal is 5 beds! They aren't cheap but they are super durable, chew proof and guaranteed.

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know we are aware of this. We are taking all the precautions we can completely sanitizing everything daily kennels bowls gates etc. If you notice your dog have any symptoms please keep them home and reach out. Keeping them up to date on their kennel cough vaccine as well. Hoping it passes quickly!

A few months ago we did a fundraiser for Arty's heartworm treatment. Thanks to everyone who donated Arty got the last of his treatment today and is on his way to recovery! He will be here keeping quiet for 6 weeks. Couldn't be happier for this boy!

Hey all, most of you know this sweet girl Bella, she's one of our first daycare dogs. She really needs our help! I just got home from taking her to the emergency vet where we thought she had a stomach blockage which is still possible. However they were unable to do her surgery because she's currently severely anemic. She's staying at the emergency vet for the night to see if she improves enough for surgery. Currently her total is $2,000 and climbing we at Kamp are doing what we can to help but need your help as well. Anyone who knows this girl knows how much she loves our daycare family Bella and her brother have been a huge part of Kamp since the very beginning my heart breaks for her and her brother who's here and has never spent a night away from his sister. Let's help get her better thank you all in advance! You are all family here and it hurts deeply when one is sick let's get her better!

Hey all we will be closed from July 22nd through July 29th for a much needed camping trip! All prior arrangements are still all set we will be back as usual Mon July 31st! If anyone has trips planned let us know we do still have openings for boarding.

Hey all a quick reminder, we are officially in tick season. We do our best to check the pups for ticks after our walks etc but being on preventative meds is the best defense. I don't even know how to begin to say this, yesterday we lost our "Boss man" Brutus. He was a huge part of Kamp K-9 and many of you knew and loved him. Brutus was the best supervisor we could have ever asked for. He enjoyed going for a stroll and sun bathing but most of all hanging out and being loved on. He would always let us know if we weren't paying enough attention to him 😂 Things won't be the same around here and will be a little bit quieter. We miss you and love you so much big guy! In honor of Brutu's memory Kamp k-9 is making a donation to a local rescue on his behalf. I've tagged it here in case anyone would like to check it out. Here's a Kamp "pupdate" it's been a fun filled few weeks! Welcome to the new kampers. Boarding is filling up fast for the next few weeks I do have a couple of slots left if anyone is needing to board let us know. Enjoy the pics!

The cold weather is here, we have a good routine of rotating play groups around and give all pups access to warm ups. There's plenty of warm blankets and even the shortest legged dogs can get inside 😂 If for any reason we do need to cancel daycare because it's too cold or a big storm we will be sure to reach out! Otherwise we will enjoy all the snow!
