5 weeks + 1 day post op for my ankle.
6 days post op for my hip.
Taking it day by day but improving nonetheless! Work won’t be for a while. Walking won’t be for at least 12 more weeks.
Excited to see my improvements but still frustrated at my inability to do basic things easily.
I love and appreciate those reaching out, cooking for us, grocery shopping and donating to keep us a float.

On September 23rd, Lori slipped and snapped her ankle bones! She has multiple breaks in her right ankle and will need orthopedic surgery in the coming weeks. She and her husband Noe have 3 kids, a farm and animal rescue and this accident has rendered Lori on bed rest for at least 2 months. Anything....

I got a call today about 2 kittens possibly being abused and was asked to take them. One of them is possibly paralyzed in the back end but I won’t know till tomorrow morning when they arrive.
The kitten is about 4 weeks old and will need a vet visit and probably some X-rays. Do I have any possible sponsors? Doing some advanced searching

I just wanted to show what’s been going on in my personal life and why rescue hasn’t been plausible as of late. Surgery went well. Still not allowed any walking or major weight bearing for 10 more weeks.

When I say, I rescue anything needing help, I wasn’t lying Lol
Love me some good Samaritan’s!!
We were able to free the snake! We don’t know how long it was stuck there but we didn’t find any injuries. (:
We let it relax, recoup and eat before it was released.
I don’t typically do any exotics or wildlife but I’ve had to LEARN proper handling of these guys before I even tried. I don’t plan on adding exotics full time but I’ve truly started loving all the creatures and have been able to get over some phobias I once had!

It really doesn’t happen over night! Being educated on this concept before adopting is very important. Especially if you have other animals that will also be adjusting to a new addition!

Hello!! It’s been a while since I had a good update so here’s one:
I have a couple windows left this week for adoption visits.
I will post them up tomorrow once I finalize a few days with other people 🙂
These kittens came from a VERY rough beginning, and are healing from ringworm. They will have their first shots, microchip and are dewormed.
They go home with their own kitty goodie bags.
Litter box trained.
Used to large dogs
Used to other cats
Used to children
Adoption fee: you choose. It’s based off of how much of a donation you choose to give that won’t break your bank.
Things to consider when deciding:
Time spent, food bought, vaccine(s) given, deworming, sick medical expenses, microchips and more things I can think of!

I wanted to do a shout out. To every single one of you who’s been so amazing this past week. From food drop offs, grocery drop offs, cleaning up our home, helping with the kiddos and cats. I know this is a huge inconvenience and it’s been truly heartbreaking but you all have helped more than you’ll know. They say put out what you want to receive back and I can say honestly I’ve never felt so loved. I love my family, friends and community. All I’ve ever wanted to do is help and I know that love is felt 💕

Please read if you have inside cats. The dirty clothing i have found to be almost fail proof. This also works if you’re out hiking with your dog and it gets lost off leash!

Hello! Happy 4th of July 🇺🇸
I wanted to post some pet friendly advice for keeping your animals safe and home this 4th of July!
******Please remember more pets go missing today than any other day of the year! 😳******
**Wild life are often scared just like our domestic pets and have been seen closer to homes
**If your pet has a collar but doesn’t normally wear it, put it on today.
**Painters tape + a sharpie attach great to collars for a form of temporary ID.
**Doing a temporary tape ID is also great to do even IF your pet does have some info on their collar.
Temporary tape ID should have:
Animal name, phone number(s) of owners, address, vet name (optional), microchip number.
**Attaching a piece of yellow ribbon to their collar (with/without tape ID) can help alert people that the animal can have some different behaviors (aggressive, fearful, not good with animals, dietary needs, etc) so if found the person knows to approach with caution.*
**dogs do not respond well to being chased when scared. If your dog runs, it’s best to not chase them, open your doors to your home and vehicles. They often won’t recognize your voice if you call their name due to fear.
**thunder jackets work great. If you don’t have one-a large shirt works.
**oral prescriptions from your vet for calming medicines.
**Adaptil (dog pheromone) they come in sprays, diffusers & collars.

Please consider how important it is to spay & neuter your cats! It’s kitten season as always and there’s always too many requests for fostering!
Male cats may not be able to get pregnant but that doesn’t mean they won’t wander. Or fight. Or get sick or injured.
Young females can have difficulties birthing.
Imagine a female having 8 kittens? And then think of all the other cats they are too. Maybe not as many but it adds up!
