Tomato! This adorable little boy just had his neuter is fully ready for adoption. He came to us at 0.7lbs (terribly underweight), not eating, and with a broken front paw. He had been alone and declining in health. We immediately introduced him to a mother (Rosemary) and her three kittens (Moose, Bear, and Dipper). They accepted him instantly. Tomato started eating right away and loved his new family. His paw healed, he gained weight, and he is a healthy, happy little zoom-kitty every morning. He is shockingly soft, incredibly cute, and an instant purr ball. Going to the kitchen? Feed Tomato. Going to the bathroom? Feed Tomato. Just existing in the house? Feed Tomato! He eats multiple times a day and we’re happy he does. He’s deserves all the food, all the health, all the happiness. Oh, and he always sleeps half-hanging out of a bed. He’s a character. Meet him, feed him, love him! Tomato! 🍅✨

Slow to the kick off the New Year on socials, but not at all behind-the-scenes. We’ve already had 5 adoptions! Thinking about that new fuzzy friend for yourself? We’ll be at Petco on Saturday if you’d like to meet some sweeties. We’re also working on launching educational seminars with a class for first-time cat owners and one for basic cat medical care. Of course, we’ll still be hosting other fun events, more so when it gets warmer. (We’re all staying on the heated blankets over here). ❄️ Anything you want to see or do with us this year? Alright guys - real talk. We’ve received messages for surrendering 11 cats in only the past 12 days. We expect more to come. It’s tough, we get it. Life happens and it sucks. It hurts to receive these messages as it most likely hurts the people messaging us. Our hearts feel for the cats and yes, we wish we could take very single one. But we’re only two people, using our own home, our own time, and most often - our own money. We simply can’t do it all. One day we hope to have a sanctuary where no cat will be refused. We already have the land, we just need the capital to build a facility. One day, every surrender will have a home.Please adopt if you can and donate if you can’t. To any rescue, to any cause. Nonprofits can’t do their work without you. Just please remember, and remind others this season - cats are not holiday gifts - they are living things. They feel joy, pain, and sadness. They know. They matter.

CUTIE PIE ALERT! Adopt these two adorable babes! She may always look ridiculously grumpy, but Rosemary is truly a happy sweetheart. Mom to three kittens, she was dumped outside by her former family when pregnant. She adopted many new kittens at our rescue, helping nurse and care for them. Rosemary even helped Splash - a young, one-eyed feral who was all alone. Splash has come amazingly far, enjoying playtime and pets, but loves her adoptive mom snuggles the best. These two are a fun, quiet, loving pair sure to bring joy to their new family. 🐈‍⬛✨

Hi B4C friends! It’s been a little quiet on the socials, but not behind the scenes. Don’t worry - we’re planning some fun events for the fall. In the meantime, our kittens (and cats) are going through food like crazy! And these photos - yeah, these are ACTUAL PHOTOS from our rescue, not AI. Our very first rescue cat, Olive, was with us for 875 days. Seems long, indeed, but we have no time limit on our cats. They stay with us until they find the perfect home. Since Olive was able to finally find her family, up next as Longest Resident is Willow. She’s been with us for 815 days! Yeah - can you believe this sweet, bellyrub-loving, super low-maintenance, precious chonk has been passed over for nearly 25 months? Let’s find her family, ya’ll. We’d love to start giving our long-term kitties the one-on-one attention, undivided devotion, and unshared food bowls that they deserve! They would swoon over uninterrupted soft-blanket cuddle sessions, private litter boxes, and solo string toy sessions. Come find a sweet cat to spoil! This campaign is a celebration of the unique love adopted pets share with us and the profound ways their love changes our lives for the better, inspiring more pet adoptions and empowering animal welfare organizations to save more pet lives. Winning Love Stories will earn significant grants for the rescues (that’s us!) where the pets were adopted. And guess what B4C family? Olive is our longest-standing resident. She was also our very first intake! She arrived April 28, 2022 with five little kittens who have all found lovely homes. Yet, Olive remains. She’s had a lot of interest over the years, but her shyness has been the main turnoff. When she finally had someone pretty set on her, Olive developed a lump on her side and had hair loss. Thankfully, it seemed to be only a slight reaction to a vaccination site. She received treatment and the lump slowly went away. Her hair has been slower to return. What’s crazy though - it’s been growing back white! She’s a little extra couture now. While she isn’t back to her full fluffy-fluffness, she’s become a sweet little chatter-bug. She cries for pets and attention and has stopped hiding as often when strangers are about. She’s still scared of new folks, but is finally warming up to repeat visitors which is amazing. Olive deserves a good home with lots of patience and kindness while she settles in. It’ll be worth it once her personality pops out - She’s the ultimate weirdo. Come check her out! She’s the craziest little firecracker you could hope for.

Little Pancake has been having gastric issues for a while. She’s been incontinent off and on for months despite numerous vet visits, medications, and diet attempts. Her most recent visit racked up a $350 bill as we are trying everything to narrow down what’s causing this. She is in her own room, mostly because keeping beds, linens, and floors clean around her is an incredible amount of work. While she’s still a feral babe, she has come a long way. Treats are beyond exciting and she’ll follow you all morning to get some. Pancake is pretty chill but her mayhem score will forever remain at max because she got into the wall once. It’s a hell of a story. She also gave birth in our home to three kittens, including Jam - a spunky little firecracker who’s still waiting for the right home.If you are able to contribute it means a lot and any amount helps. We care about all of our cats, even the ones that aren’t cuddly lap snugglers. 🥞🐈‍⬛

This is little Tomato. He’s hanging out with us from a partner organization until his health starts going in the right direction. While he doesn’t look great, he looked a lot worse a week ago. The little one was found malnourished, dehydrated, and has a broken paw. He’s been receiving fluids, a daily max calorie count, and a lot of love and socialization from our other kittens and their sweet mom, Rosemary. He’s not in the clear yet, but we’re trying our best.
