She’s coming home today!
I’m thankful for ROL 4H barn for housing her until we could build her a suitable pen at home. Daddy and I finished up her pen today with the exception of a few minor details.
Morning and nighttime feedings will be so much easier.

I still have my English lops but summer is their down time when I do my best to keep them alive and well for the other seasons.
in the meantime, I’m raising a market hog for fair. I will be posting my pictures here so I can keep track of all of our progress until fair.

Today we jumped back in the saddle with showing my babies. I haven’t had anything that was ready for the show table but today Mozelles babies finally made their debut. They did okay and all judges said they show promise. I guess we will be back next show.
Marble earned Best Opposite and Best of Variety while Marley won Best of Variety.

In honor of my sweet girl, we named all three of her babies in honor of her and officially planted her with her mulberry tree.

This post is very hard to create but I want to do it to honor my sweet girl, Mozelle.

Today, I had to lay her to rest. It looks like she broke her back doing what she did best, protecting her babies from some type of threat. I don’t know exactly how it happened but I do know that I will sorely miss her.
She was my favorite gift from Mrs Kelly. We had an amazing connection. She was a hot mess and drove me crazy in her younger days by escaping her cage every day. She did what she wanted to do. That also includes doing what she wanted to do on the show table.
I promise to do my best with her 3 babies she left behind. I’m hopeful one of them has her wild personality so that I never forget the wonderful rabbit she was.
Thank you so much to Kelly and Lonnie for helping me through this. Kelly made her box so beautiful with flowers and Lonnie gave me a tree to plant on top of her. Her legacy will carry on past today, one way or another.
RIP in my little porch rabbit. We will always leave a space on the swing for you.

In the weeee hours of the morning, my Christmas present, Mozelle, had some baby bunnies. When we left for school, 3 were squirming around and upon arrival from school, Mama pushed out 7 more.

What a successful day for Faith, Family, Farm bunnies. Many many thanks to Kellie @ Reid's Rabbitry. She has been an amazing mentor and cheerleader along the way.
Funny story…
Mozelle was supposed to pose today but instead she decided to shmooze the judge. She literally snuggled with the judge and actually beat out a few contenders.
That’s what happens when you treat your bunnies with so much love. They expect it from all people they come across.

When you’re blessed, bless others!
We started our journey of growing our own food back in 2017. In 2019, we met the owners of The Reid Farm. Kelly Reid and Lonnie have both been instrumental in our abundant growth over the last 3 years. We will forever be thankful for their knowledge and friendship. Through these years, we have met other local people with the same understanding of life; huge win in life.
A HUGE piece of our puzzle was access to mulch to fix our soil. That’s where Magic Tree Company comes in. They deliver mulch regularly to our property where we can utilize the mulch at our discretion.
We have gotten to a point where we can bless others with our over abundance.
Pictured is my daddy using his tractor to load mulch into his friend’s trailer, who wants to grow his own food for his precious family.

It appears that every rabbitry has that one bunny that doesn’t want to live that cage life.
Mozelle is that bunny. She loves the front porch and clearly she loves the swing on the front porch too.
She looked at us as if she was waiting for her morning coffee.

This is not bunny related but I get equally excited when other babies are born on the farm.
Yesterday we welcomed a buckling and a doeling from Ashby and Noah.
The heat almost killed them but my parents were able to intervene and they survived their first night.

Reid’s Rabbitry Mark made his show debut yesterday. It was almost a bust until Sue Rice got her hands on him. She loved him. Then she saw his tattoo name ”Mark”. Apparently that was her ex husband’s name. 😂
She pointed out his great body shape and lovely ears compared to his competition. He is very very young but has shown to be show ready. He won best of junior broken bucks. Then beat out the junior and senior broken bucks. He has already earned a leg at such an early age. This sweet boy is looking promising once he comes out of this molt and puts on a couple more pounds.

We are officially 1 month old!
God made us so cute and it’s going to be hard to let us go to new families by the end of July but only 1 of us is looking to be on track to be show quality.

My name is Pumpkin! I consider myself Mykaelah’s favorite little cutie. I love to lick nonstop and I don’t mind my daily trips into the house to snuggle.
I’m going to make a great pet for someone by the end of the summer.
