⭐️⭐️⭐️TECH WEEK SPOTLIGHT⭐️⭐️⭐️

As we wrap up vet tech week, Please join us in also saying thank you to Raul, our veterinary assistant🐾🩺

Raul is originally from Maracaibo, Venezuela 🇻🇪 He graduated in December 2019 at Universidad del Zulia as a Veterinarian. Raul has wanted to be in the veterinary field since he was young. His family had an animal farm with broiler chickens, 🐓, laying hens 🐔 and at some point also had sheep 🐑, cows 🐮, and goats 🐐 Raul had an interest in wanting to improve his animal husbandry skills, and his dream was to one day be in charge of his family’s farm. 👨‍🌾

He worked in the farm and helped attend to patients in the farm, but eventually decided he wanted to work in a small animal clinic and learn more about small animal medicine to gain more knowledge and experience. He worked at 2 small animal clinics in Venezuela, and was assisting doctors during exams and surgeries.

Raul moved to the United States in may of 2021, and his first job here was when he joined the Lake Nona Animal Clinic family in November of 2022🧡🩺

Raul is always assisting our technicians and doctors when they need a hand. He has a positive attitude, and is always asking how he can help.❣️🐾 he is a team player, and is always willing to grow and learn new techniques and ways to help our pets. He loves to help educate owners on ways to improve their pet’s lives. 🧡

Raul’s ultimate goal is to work towards his veterinary license here in the United States 🥼👨‍⚕️

When Raul isn’t working, he likes to spend time with family, go to the gym, read a book, read vet articles, and watch TV and movies 🎥

We are lucky to have you on our team, and we look forward to continuing to support you as you pursue your dreams.

Happy tech week, Raul! 🩺🐾

⭐️⭐️⭐️TECH WEEK SPOTLIGHT⭐️⭐️⭐️

Please join us in saying thank you to Jazmin, one of our Veterinary Technicians🩺🐾

Jazmin is originally from Ecuador 🇪🇨 and her animal care experience started in 2019, when she was a volunteer at OCAS. She enjoyed interacting with the cats and dogs and looked forward to creating bonds with them. Her favorite part was helping the animals find their fur-ever home 🥰

She later adopted her first cat from OCAS, Tumbles. 🐱 A fluffy, shy, black cat that she knew was her soulmate. He, along with her dog, Sur and the other animals at the shelter showed her how much she loved caring for animals. That was when she realized she wanted to study Biology (Pre-Vet track) 🥼👩‍⚕️and began her journey in veterinary medicine🐾

Her vet med career began as a kennel technician at a clinic in 2022. There she learned a lot from the technicians. They took her under their wing and guided her to becoming a veterinary technician.

After moving in 2023, she joined the Lake Nona Animal Clinic family🧡🧡

Currently, she has a dog-Sur🐶, a cat-Winter🐱 and took in a cockatiel-Piquito!! 🦜

Jazmin’s favorite things about working in vet med are her patients, cleaning ears, and lots of dark humor.

Jazmin is not only one of our outpatient Technicians, but recently completed her training as a surgical technician so she can continue to help around the clinic wherever she’s needed and grow her knowledge and skills. Jazmin is sweet, funny, and always has a contagious smile on her face. She also recently started helping with international travel certificates for our Spanish clients. 🤩🗺️

When Jazmin isn’t working, she enjoys traveling, writing, and DIY projects. (Did you know she can make you a hat out of paper?) 🤩 🖼️

Fun fact about Sur🐶: he was rescued from Ecuador, then traveling to New York, and then to Florida. He has been by her side every step of the way, literally! 🗺️

We are lucky to have you on our team and look forward to continuing to support you on your journey. Thank you for all that you do!

Happy tech week, Jazmin! 🩺🐾

Happy Vet Tech Week! 🐾🩺🐱🐶⭐️

This week we celebrate our vet techs and assistants and all they do for our clients and patients.

They’re acrobats: They will contort into any position required to get the blood draw done.

They’re unmoved by questionable scents: The smelliest of smells cannot deter them from their lunch

They’re masters of comfort: They are professionals when It comes to making sure their patients are at ease, whether it’s providing a good snuggle or reaching baby voice octaves you thought were impossible 🥰

They’re multitasking ninjas 🥷: They are holding a patient for their exam, while listening to the doctor’s findings and already making a list of medications to dispense, while constantly reading their patient’s body language to assess their comfort level. Oh while also keeping an eye on their watch to make sure the team stays on schedule so everyone can be seen and taken care of in a timely manner.

They do all of this, and so much more to ensure our patients and clients have the best experience possible.

They are the heartbeat of our team. May they all see their reflection, and see an entire community of supporters standing along side of them.

They’re SUPERHEROES! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️

Join us in thanking our techs and assistants this week for all they do, because we truly couldn’t do It without them! 🧡🧡

Stay tuned this week for highlights of our technicians and their stories⭐️
