Calling all superheroes!! 💕Henry💕 is here to save the day! 🦸♂️ isn’t he the most charming super schnauzer you’ve ever seen?!
Henry’s mom is Adriana Del Mar, one of our awesome Techncians, and he has beautiful story to share with you all today.
📖… Henry’s story began when he was just 4 months old. Adriana’s friend saw him on Facebook as a pet who was in need of a home. She was so excited and said “yes, absolutely!” Later she found out that he was already taken by someone else, and she was so sad 🥺 THEN… what do you know?! They came back and offered Henry to her!! She couldn’t be more thrilled that she was going to adopt him 🏠❤️ some things are just meant to be, and that was Henry for Adriana. Henry will 7 years old this month, and they have been inseparable all these years.
Henry isn’t your typical schnauzer, he rarely barks, but he will get jealous if mom is giving attention to any other dogs around. This boy doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He is the sweetest, most gentle soul, and very well mannered. Henry loves to play dress up, and has his own wardrobe of funny, classy, and dashing outfits. 👕 he also enjoys having dinner dates with his mom. ❤️
This year, at our annual veterinary conference, Henry took part as a superhero and posed for all to see. 💚
You can count on Henry to steal your heart anyday! Adriana feels blessed to have Henry in hers and her family’s lives every day, and we feel lucky to have both of them on our team of heroes🧡

Today we have two kitties to share with you!! These fur babies belong to our surgical technician, Shirley. 🩺
💕Haru💕 (pictured first) has been with her since she was only 4 months old and is about to be 9! Have you ever had that feeling where you drive past the shelter and just feel like going inside and adopting a pet in need? That’s exactly what happened with Shirley and haru! It was love at first sight. ❤️ Haru can be a little spicy, but not with her owner at all. Her favorite activities include showing off her belly, and sunbathing ☀️
💕Fefe💕 (pictured second) is her baby boy! Shirley rescued fefe when he was 1 1/2 years old, and now he is 5 years old! Everyone at the clinic loves when she brings him in and we love to give him lots of cuddles! He loves to steal food from his siblings at home, cuddle with mom, and certainly is the king 👑 of attention!

So it is then when things don’t go our way that we must think what can we take from this? And learn and grow, be THANKFUL and GRATEFUL and move forward. May we always be filled with gratitude for every little detail. If you opened your eyes in the morning, that right there alone is something to be grateful about. Let's shout a "Thanks" to our amazing Veterinary Technicians. We could not do this with out them. Shirley, Ami, Yarimar, Julia, Jazmin, Adriana Del Mar, Paulina, and Victoria.
They do an incredible job. This is a very demanding job: physically, emotionally, and mentally.
As we celebrate the excellent job of our technicians, we also want to create consciousness of the importance of mental health. Let's be nice to them.
They are not perfect, but they definitely care and give their all to make sure all of our patients get the best care and the best experience for their owners.
We are blessed to have you all as part of our Lake Nona Family. Thank you so much!

In an effort to keep our clients and staff safe from the effects of hurricane Ian, we will be closing at 11:00 am today Wednesday, September 28th. We will be closed tomorrow Thursday and hope to open on Friday but we will have to wait and see. Our hours are up to date on google, yelp, and our social media. Make sure you have enough food and medications to get you over the weekend just in case. Stay safe!

Approximately a little bit over a month ago Puerto Rico and other islands in the Caribbean were hit by hurricane Maria. Despite all the best efforts from our government, FEMA, and other agencies, the people of Puerto Rico are still in need. The great majority of the island still has no power and potable water. We had the opportunity to send food and water several weeks ago. This past week we were able to send more water as well as dog/cat food. We just got news that a shipment to Puerto Rico will be leaving again this week. We want to help again! We have until this Thursday to gather all the food and goods and this time, we are asking you for your help. Here are different ways you can help us: 1) Please share this with your friends. 2) You can bring a donation to the clinic. Here is a list of what we need: -canned food -protein bars -cereal -protein shakes -mosquito repellent -sanitize wipes -cleaning supplies -baby and adult diapers -personal hygiene items -flashlights and batteries *** We already have 2 pallets of bottle of water and we will be purchasing 1,500 to 2,000 lbs of dog and cat food, therefore we do NOT need water or dog/cat food. *** or 3) You can also make a monetary donation to our paypal account: [email protected] ***All the monetary donations will be used to purchase food, water filters, and personal hygiene items*** We know this is a very short notice but we just found out about this opportunity this weekend. We are sending all the collected items to a church in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, where they will be distribute to families in need. All the dog and cat food will be donated to a rescue organization that has been taking care of all the homeless animals after the hurricane. Any way you can help will be greatly appreciated even if it is only by sharing this. Thanks to everyone that in any way or another have been helping Puerto Rico! PUERTO RICO YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!!!
