Patches made it through the night!
He’s not out of the woods yet, but it’s definitely looking positive! He’s such a sweet boy!

Thank you to Dr. Andersen at Pet Alliance for doing emergency surgery on Patches today!

A couple years ago, we TNR’d all the cats from a homeless tent camp. One of the cat owners contacted us yesterday because Patches had a gun shot wound. Their son passed away, and Patches was his cat that they’ve been taking care of him in memory of their son.

Thankfully Dr. A was able to take Patches in for emergency surgery today!!! His initial prognosis was not good, due to multiple holes in his gut as the bullet passed through him. Thanks to Dr. A and the amazing staff at Pet Alliance, hopefully Patches is on the road to recovery!

We have $128 in our “can fund” at Trademark Metals Recycling! We will be purchasing another trap with these funds - this is the 3rd one we’ve been able to purchase from recycling cans! Thank you to everyone who brings in your cans to help add to our fund!

Save your aluminum cans! Only soda, beer, and cat food cans - soup and vegetable cans don’t work! Basically, if they’re aluminum (non-magnetic), then they can be recycled!

Thank you to everyone who came out for the Pickleball Fundraiser! Huge shoutout to ClearOne Sports Centre - Orlando for letting us use their awesome facilities!!!

We had a great time and we were able to raise money for the kitties!!! 😻

Thanks again to Olde Hearth Bread Company and Twelve Talons Beerworks fur supplying snacks and lemonade, and to Yvonne for supplying liquor bottles for prizes and potted pet friendly grass!

Yesterday we had a very generous member donate a $2000 American Express gift card!

We were flabbergasted by the generosity because they used their points to pay it forward for homeless cats on their credit card 😭

As a result, we were able to buy 5 treatment boxes and an additional 4 nebulizers for the treatment of pneumonia and upper respiratory infections.

We were also able to purchase a ferret nation cage for one of our new fosters who is an ICU nurse for our critical cats and kittens.

We are always blown away by the generosity of this group and we just wanted to point out one more example amongst our very kind members.

This video shows just a few kittens who are receiving life saving nebulizer treatments.

We rescued these 3 adorable kittens with their mama from Orange County Animal Services.

Mama cat was spayed, vaccinated, and released because she was TNR material. But at least she can live out her life without having any more babies!

We are fostering these 3 playful nuggets! Once they weigh enough to be fixed, they will go to Candy's Cats, Inc.

There are so many people that each play a role when cats & kittens are rescued! We’re so thankful to have a network full of great volunteers, fosters, and rescue partners that support each other when we can!
