🎄 Holiday Fundraiser for the Homeless 🎄

Some of you may know that a couple years ago, a homeless community reached out to us to help spay and neuter their cats. Ever since then, we’ve continued to help them in various ways by not only providing them with cat food, but also donating food and supplies for them personally.

This year, we’re reaching out to our amazing network to help provide them with a new stock of some basic necessities to bring them joy this holiday season!

Our goal is to be able to put together 50 gift bags of goodies to hand out to the homeless community. We’ll make extra bags if we get extra items!

All donations must be received by 12/10/24!
There’s are 3 ways you can help us achieve our goal:

1. Donate via our Amazon wishlist - we’ve already added some specific items they always need.

2. Donate via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle and put “Homeless Fundraiser” in the notes so those donations will be used to purchase extra items to fill their gift bags.

3. Purchase items locally and deliver to Wednesday’s house (contact us for address).

High priority items needed - we’ve found a lot of these items heavily discounted for buying in bulk on our Amazon wishlist!
- Socks and underwear for men and women, plain white tshirts
- Personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, body wipes, sunblock, etc.
- Women’s products such as pads and tampons
- Non perishable food and snacks, i.e. granola bars, snack packs, chips, crackers, jerky sticks, etc.
- Living accessories such as tents, tarps, sleeping bags, blankets, etc.

We appreciate any extra items you’d like to donate for their goodie bags! Let’s help spread the holiday spirit!

😻 Giving Tuesday 😻

Wednesday's Community Cats & Kittens operates 100% from our amazing and generous donors! We are also 100% operated by volunteers and not a single person is paid.

If you don’t know much about what we do, here’s a general idea of the various services we provide:
▶️ We provide TNR services for community cats
▶️ We provide vet care for injured community cats
▶️ We rescue medical needs cats from the euthanasia list at Orange County Animal Services
▶️ We foster abandoned kittens and bottle feed until they are ready to be spayed/neutered and put up for adoption
▶️ We provide pet food for less fortunate people who are on a tight budget to help avoid them resorting to surrendering their pets
▶️ And so much more!

Please consider donating to help us in our efforts to provide food and vet care for as many community cats as possible!

This is Wes - our sweet boy that Wednesday found injured when she was releasing some other TNR cats. He’s on cage rest after being found injured (broken leg), probably from being hit by a car. He’s suchhhh a sweetheart!!!😻

Meet Wes, our newest medical rescue!

Wednesday found Wes when she was doing TNR returns, and she knew he needed to see a vet. He has a fractured leg, and we suspect he was hit by a car. He will need 8 weeks of cage rest, and if it’s not healed then it will need to be amputated.

Chewy’s Black Friday sale is live!!!
It’s a great time to stock up on your own cat food, litter, treats, etc.! 30-50% off many foods, supplies, treats, etc.!

We also have our Chewy wishlist that helps stock our pantry for our fosters, community feeders, and less fortunate pet owners that can’t afford to feed their pets. We’d rather help them by providing food than them considering surrendering their pets to a shelter or rescue (or worse)!

We’ve had so many donations pouring in for our Holiday Fundraiser for the Homeless!!! You still have a few more weeks to donate before we start putting the bags together for distribution!

We couldn’t do it without the support of all of our volunteers, fosters, donors, transporters, vet partners, and everyone in between! As our network grows, we’ve been able to pull more medical needs cats from the euthanasia list, provide countless TNR surgeries, and donate cat food, supplies, and medicine for people in need.

😻 Phoenix Update 😻
After multiple phovia light treatments, his wounds were sutured up to help speed up the healing process. He’s doing great, and will spend some more time with his medical foster until he’s fully recovered!
