If you feed your dog processed commercial foods, one can expect the same results as a human eating nothing but processed foods. ecific and therapeutic formulations designed by nature. We take foods that are indigenous to the area where the breed was developed and use them in our breed specific formulations. Since your dog's body is used to and in part designed to eat these foods, digestion is easy and nutrients are readily absorbed into the body. This simple approach provides a diet that helps eliminate diet related problems such as allergies, obesity, and diabetes. Our therapeutic diets are based on nature's remedies for everyday ailments your dog may suffer from. We add ginger to our GI Formulation which helps aid in digestion. If your dog suffers from chronic UTI's we can add cranberries and high acid foods to help alleviate the condition. For dogs with allergies we use goat meat as the main source of protein as most dogs in the U.S. have not been exposed to it in the past. Our Weight Loss Formulation provides adequate nutrition and is made from simple low fat and low calorie ingredients.

Our power was restored last night so, while we won’t be back to production just yet as we assess any damage, etc., we will be open today for pick-ups from Noon - 6:00pm. Scheduled deliveries will also still be going out today and back to normal deli hours starting tomorrow.

We here at Rick’s want to extend a massive “THANK YOU!” to all of our amazing friends, and clients-turned-friends who showed up to our Celebration of Life honoring our partner, friend and founder, Charlie.

We would also like to send a special thanks to Judy, of Pet Rescue by Judy in Sanford. Charlie and his partner Hendrik adopted a pup, Tiger, from Judy just a couple months before opening Rick’s Dog Deli in 2011 and Tiger has been along for the ride ever since. It was so wonderful that Judy brought another adoptable pup, Macey (who Charlie was fostering) to the celebration. We are so happy to say that we’ve come full circle and Macey was adopted by one of our amazing, long-time clients that was at the Celebration. Macey is in a loving home, and is now a permanent member of the Rick’s Dog Deli pack too!

Again, a heartfelt thank you for all of your kind words and support. We couldn’t do any of this without you!

This Saturday, June 1st, Deli hours will be abbreviated as we join together from 2:00pm - 5:00pm to celebrate our founder and friend, Charlie Guns.

The “dress code” is light, casual, and colorful - Florida Resort Casual ☀️ - sundresses, golf shirts, Hawaiian shirts, short pants or casual slacks, all acceptable and preferred! Refreshments will also be served.

We look forward to seeing you all and to celebrating our wonderful friend! 🩵

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the unexpected passing of our beloved founder, partner, and friend, Charlie Guns.

Without his vision and his dedication to the pups and our community, Rick’s would not exist, and for that, we are all so grateful!

We here at the deli will still be working hard to keep Charlie’s dream alive and do our best to fill the big shoes he left behind.
