💥Starting Monday, June 24th Hounds Town USA will launch a national contest to show appreciation for our loyal customers. For every day your pup attends daycare during June 24th – July 22nd they will receive one entry to win one of three PAWsome prizes: a 5, 10, or 20-pack of daycare!

Customers must have passed a temperament test to be eligible. Customers may enter up to once a day for the month of June. Overnight stays (boarding) do not qualify for entries. Prizes are non-transferrable. Prizes may be split between dogs within the same family.

Hey Townies,
We will be supporting the 4th Annual Golf Scramble vs Pediatric Cancer at Orange Tree Golf Club
They haven't reached their donation goal for this year yet, so pleasure if you would like to donate, sign up to golf, or even have your own business and want to sponsor a hole, they are a great cause and great people that do this.
Not to mention if you decide to go out and participate and have some fun, you will see our very own Manager out there supporting the cause.

Meet Butch!
Butch is a dog from Orange County Animal Services, and he is staying with us! Butch is a super sweet dog, lots of energy, and loves people! When being with other dogs, he likes dogs that can match his energy, but shows no aggressive traits. We really hope to help find him a permanent home! 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒆'𝒔 𝒅𝒐𝒈.

This stunning boy has been named Picasso (A545765), because we do not know his real name. He was found with a green canvas collar and a chain leash. Therefore we can assume with almost 99% certainty, this is someone's dog.

On April 17 we were alerted by Orange County Sheriff's Office, Florida and residents of the Victoria Place apartment complex by Waterford Lakes that a loose German Shepherd type dog was loose and behaving aggressively. When our Officer arrived the dog bared his teeth and charged toward her, so she retreated to her truck for safety and called for assistance. She was met by two additional Animal Services Officers and together they were able to safely corral this boy without anyone being harmed.

𝑫𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒈𝒏𝒊𝒛𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒅𝒐𝒈?

We know someone knows this dog and can hopefully help us make contact with his owner. What's unfortunate is Picasso's story is like so many others. Even in cases where we have the owner's contact information, we're sometimes left ghosted by people who don't want to do the right thing. We're hoping for a different fate for Picasso.

We're asking his owner to visit our shelter immediately for reclaim purposes. Anyone familiar with him is asked to email us at [email protected].

While his behavior is progressing, Picasso is not an adoption candidate at this point in time. We're most interested in exploring the ownership piece of his story before we begin on next steps for placement.

Happy National K9 Veteran Day 🇺🇲This holiday holds a special place in our hearts as our founder, Mike Gould, played a great part in developing the NYPD canine unit. He went on to become the Commanding Officer of the Nassau County canine unit. With over 15 years of experience working alongside these K9’s, Mike has seen the benefit hardworking pups have on communities firsthand.
