Still got a ways to go.... but feeling great about this progress I made today! I’ve been wanting to make my handlettering into a font for a long time, and finally bit the bullet thanks to @designbylaney (who is also making a font!). I’m not going to stop handlettering things, but Doing this allows for so many more possibilities that I couldn’t do before with having to hand write every word! A few examples; envelope addressing, laser cut name place cards. Etc etc!! I’ve been working on this for a month and I gotta say, it hasn’t been the easiest. I have about 3 variations of every letter, which have to be accounted for in this font 😳 Labor of love this has been!

I know planning a wedding is stressful, but putting together your wedding invites doesn’t have to be! My custom invitation packages include complimentary assembly so we handle ordering the postage, the right amount of ribbon, we hand address or print your envelopes, we line the envelopes. We stack the cards, we add paper tags, we do wax seals, we add gold leaf, we add vellum wraps, or real greenery. We weigh them, stamp them, stuff them and mail them. Whether you have 25 invites or 185. Oh and if one gets lost in the mail or returned to you, we’ll mail out a new one assembled like the first time they went out. It’s a process, but I take so much pride in my work, so you can rest assured they look as close to perfect going into the mail as they possibly can! Here’s a time lapse video from last week of me adding ribbon and a gold monogram tag an invitation suite we were working on. Pro tip: we assemble in steps! We do the ribbon around the invites first, and then slip the other cards in behind that after! I’m also using part of a metal hanger to push the ribbon through the paper tag so that I can it can hang Properly once I tie the ribbon. If only it went as fast as it is in this video! 🤓

I’ve been wanting to share this fun invite suite for a while! Kelly and Oliver are getting married at the Casa Marina down in Key West! We kept their main invitation suite clean and classy with a monogram, gold foil and a map!, but added a fun additional insert for their Havana Nights welcome party! 💃🏼 I’ll be posting a lot more of these videos like this because I think it’s important to show how the guests receive the invitation! We assemble all of the suites here for our clients so each one looks as best as it can be and each guest can have an experience opening your wedding invites! And just like this another weekend goes on by! We’ve been feeling the craziness of spring wedding season, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything! Last week was quite a week with invitation clients and @adegroat18’s big day yesterday (so thank you to those who emailed me for being so patient!) I’m so thankfully Allison asked me to be apart of her wedding in SO many pretty ways, I can’t wait to share! My interns were the real MVPs last week though, who not only helped me prepare invitation suites and all of Allison’s day of items, I had a 4 day migraine (which started last Sunday) and they showed up armed with pedialyte since apparently I was severely dehydrated. @alli_lives_in_caves and @_maddlee 🙌🏻😘 I didn’t post on IG one time last week with all the craziness but I did snap this time lapse video of the laser engraving the seating chart I made this week. Fun fact, those are flowers are my original watercolor paintings from Allison’s invitation suite that I vectorize and omit all color. I essentially make them into a shape which can be easily engraved! Any time I engrave on gold acrylic, I flip the material mirror side down other wise the laser would bounce back on its self and wouldn’t engrave very well, hence why this is backwards and grey! We lined these florals at the top of the seating chart and they looked amazing and totally worth the 4.5 hours of engraving it took to make this sign! 🤩
