🚨 Donations needed! 🚨

I know it's been a long kitten season already, but kitties in need of help seem never ending! This is Beethoven, previously known as Tarsus when he was fostered by . I shared him and his two brothers on my page recently when they went up for adoption. Beethoven was adopted into a wonderful home! But now, he has FIP.

I know we are all so tired of hearing FIP. Treatment is long and tough, but it is also very expensive. Beethoven's new mom has done so much for him already, bringing him to the vet many times (including an opthalmologist!) to finally get this diagnosis. We are all just SO grateful that his family is up for treating it and doing whatever they can to save their baby. 84 days of injections is not easy. Beethoven's treatment has already been started (almost a week in) and we are seeing results!! How amazing is that?! His mom says he went from hiding under the bed, to cuddling up at night like his old self. His 3am zoomies are back. It's a miracle in the making!

As many of you probably know, FIP treatment is still considered experimental (even though it has miraculous results). Because of this, it is very VERY costly. It will be well over $2,000 to save Beethoven. We would all appreciate any donations to help cover his care. Every dollar adds up! I know his family wasn't expecting such a large expense after literally just adopting him. ❤️

Hi from Ruby and Max! 👋🏻

It's been a few days since I've posted... My first week of classes back has been crazy. 🥴 But here's a few updates on my little cuties!

First of all, they're getting HUGE. Max weighs nearly 2 lbs already! Ruby is nearing 800 grams now too. Their personalities are really starting to show. I love to keep kittens together when they're adopted regardless, but these two truly are a bonded pair. They scream at the top of their lungs when they're separated for literally just a few seconds! They sure have fun chasing after one another too.

Unfortunately, they still have the bum gremlins. Working through it though! We could, however, use a few supplies to help. We could use some disposable litter boxes, fresh small toys, color safe bleach, litter scoops, and rescue disinfectant if you're able and wanting to donate! Of course, all supplies from our wishlist are greatly appreciated. These babies sure do love to eat. 😋 Link in bio!

I have new fosters!! Max and Ruby are two of the kittens from the house I was working at last week. Their feral mom will be TNR'd and the babies are here with me for socialization and love until they're adoption ready. This is a super exciting foster adventure because these two are my first fosters through Liberation Cat House. LCH is one of my absolute favorite rescues, and I'm so excited to be fostering through them! ⠀

ADOPT MEDIUM!

Medium is a stunning boy available for adoption through the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. He's 4lbs of pure love and snuggles! I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet dude today. He only takes just a minute to warm up to you... Then he's begging for all the chin scratches and purring up a storm!

Medium is ready to go home today! He is neutered, has received age appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. A $100 adoption fee for a ✨ priceless ✨ boy.

That's a... large cat??

The house I've been working at (and took all of the kittens from in my last post) decided to surrender their 6-8 month old puppy to me today. It's a situation where I'm happy to take the dog. I think this is my first official "dog rescue"? Am I a dog rescuer now? 🤣

In all seriousness, there is so much going on in this situation. So many rescues have helped, so I'm going to start making posts of each animal and their rescue so that anyone interested in donating can do so. Every animal is unfixed, and will need lots of basic veterinarian care (microchips, vaccines, deworming). That means everything will be expensive! I am also working out fixing the 6-7 cats left at the house. I think we have a plan to get all (or at least 5) fixed next Wednesday. Thankfully I have an actual dog rescuer friend who is going to foster this pup until a more permanent solution is found!

Today I pulled 6 kitties from one house. It was so sad and gross. First was a "feral" mom (who turns out to not be very feral) and her two babies. Unfortunately, her third baby passed away this morning. He was significantly smaller and had swimmers syndrome. Mama will likely be a TNR and her babies should come back to me once fully weaned in a week or so. They are currently with a good friend of mine who has a better set up for a feral-ish mom. Next were the babies in the first picture (who look identical to former fosters Winnie and Pooh Bear). The tortie baby is just under three pounds. The orange and white boy is a little bit bigger (my last post was actually about him). Both kittens are friendly. They're not in the best shape (URI and worms, I'm sure) but they should make a full recovery. They'll be heading to this weekend! Unfortunately, the sibling to the boy also passed away the other day to unknown causes. I'm so glad these babies are safe now. The last kitten was Dusty, who I did not get a picture of. He was a 4 pound kitten FULL of worms. He went to a local independent foster/rescue and is now in great hands!⠀

There are still SIX cats that need to be TNR'd. I am hoping to get some free or low cost appointments from our county to get these cats fixed, as I'm not in the position to pay $50 per cat at my usual clinic! There is also one friendly adult cat that could desperately use a foster/rescue. She is so beautiful (last pic) and still needs to be fixed. She is the mom to the tortie kitten. Of course I will TNR her, but I'd love to see her find a place indoors! Please reach out if you can foster her or take her into your rescue.

That's right! Danish and Cannoli have a fur-ever home together. They'll have a 7 year old kitty brother to play with, and many humans in the home to love on them. I'm so excited that they get to stay together! All four cuties are heading home on Wednesday. 💓⠀

Danish and Cannoli are an 11 week old brother and sister duo. They are SO affectionate - they just want to be pet and loved on all day long. If you're looking for some snuggly, friendly companions, these are the ones for you! Danish and Cannoli have the best personalities! ⠀

Danish and Cannoli are available for adoption through the Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando. Their adoption fees are $100 each, and they are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. They are ready to go home on 7/21 (a week from today!!!). Without an adopter, they'll have to return to the shelter where they could potentially be adopted apart. So please only apply if you can work around this date (or just a few days later). Please APPLY using the link in my bio. That is the first step in the adoption process. ⠀

Blue had his cardiologist appointment today. The news isn't necessarily what we wanted to hear, but it's also not the worst news. Blue's echocardiogram revealed that he has Patent Ductus Arteriosus. From my understanding, this heart condition occured in the womb / at birth, when a shunt in his heart didn't close like it should have. This is creating additional pressure on his heart, leading to the murmur and enlargement. The good news is that Blue's condition can be fixed with surgery. Surgery will close the shunt, and he should be able to live a long, happy life after. His foster and his rescue are working through the surgery options and estimates (which are very expensive!!!). We will be fundraising for this surgery VERY soon, so please stay tuned!! Blue's condition is being managed with medications while we await the next steps. ⠀

A Marley and Linus update!!

The parents/family of Linus's human dad adopted Marley (formerly known as Mocha), so Linus and Marley get to have playdates! How adorable are they? I think it's incredible that they became fast friends. What happy adoption stories!
