It’s Tuesday and Tuesdays are Nova Days! She’s the sweetest little puppy. We’re honored and proud to have been her family’s groomer for the last 20 years. We are sad beyond words to see old friends leave us but we are elated when they bring new family members in.

This is Bobo a 9 month old gorgeous Akita. He came in for a good bath and deshed. Did you know El Niño and La Niña years affect your pets hair growth differently? Guess which one makes them produce more undercoat? Mhm. La Niña. Guess what type of year we’re having?

Stormy came by for a “Oh dear lord get all of this pollen off of me” grooms. Tighter on the feet so she brings in less treasures from the outside and a clarifying shampoo to strip all that gunk off her that’s currently sitting on all of our cars 😂. Such a happy little girl!

This is honestly the hardest part of our job. And it’s the part many don’t think about or even talk about. We see your pet for a few hours every month and a half typically. We don’t see them long but they always leave an impression on us and we bond with them over time. Over the years. When we say we treat everyone like family, that’s them as well, and when they pass we take it hard. Most of the time we don’t get to say good bye. You see them one day never to see them ever again. It’s harder when they’re as close to us as Cloverbelle was.

Between grooming and staying with us when her family would go on trips Cloverbelle wasn’t like family, she was family. The joke was that Dee was her person and everyone else were just the spare people. She would pull her mom and kids down the hall to come to see us. If she was staying with us she walked around like she owned the place. She kinda did.

We will miss Cloverbelle the rest of our lives. It was like losing one of our own dogs. We would like to thank her family for graciously letting us come say good bye yesterday before her trip across the rainbow bridge.

As much as this post is about Cloverbelle it’s also about many of our other furry family we’ve lost over the last few years. As much as we would wish to reach back out to people we don’t because we want to be sensitive to everyone else’s grief and not inflict them with our own, which is heavy.

We love you Cloverbelle. We will miss you.

We love all of you as well.

Hey y’all! Just kinda realized we haven’t posted in… uh well.. over a year. There’s reasons. Probably not good ones, but it doesn’t mean they’re not valid. (I just really dislike Facebook and we don’t run advertisements so I barely ever bother checking it)

Anyway, heres a Panda Bear and his brother Kyriakis, or as we call them “The Twins”. They’re pretty dang cute.

We’ll be better about posting… probably.
