It takes very unique people to thrive at Doglando. We aren’t a place of compromise, we are a place for healing, growth and recognizing our work is our life work and our life work requires us to contribute positively beyond our day to day commitments and show up when there is a need; despite our own needs of time, money, and other agenda.

I’m sharing this because In Harmony With Nature shared their gratitude for us. But, it’s our gratitude for the work they do that giving back only felt like the most reciprocal thing to do.

We know first hand what overwhelm feels like. We also completely understand the responsibility we have towards the animals in our care.

We are sharing the same space, time and resources on earth.

We are here together.

I really admire the individual members of team Doglando. Each one of them, have committed to an existence beyond them. Each one of them have grown in a culture vastly different than “typical” and embraced the good, the necessary and the absolute obligation of our internal culture.

We don’t grow with the masses. We enjoy growing with the few that allow for magnitude.

Our people are no longer only including those who we call Team Doglando. They are also their significant others.

Today, we celebrated our second youngest member of Team Doglando. She’s spirited and joyous and her world is full of four-legged friends and feathered friends. She has become an intricate part of our web at Doglando. She connects our dogs to fondness, compassion, and an immense sense of awareness that is unique in that it comes from a young one of us.

You’re all prepared and hunkered down… but that hasn’t eased your nerves and you’re still thinking about what more you can do…

Write your dog’s name and your phone number on your dog’s belly with a sharpie.

You can do this on the inside of their ear too.

Of course, this is provided you’ve taken all the other precautions such as ensuring your dogs are wearing their collars with identification tags.

Session 2’s Camp Graduation

Vidhi and Calypso hanging out amongst the waves! Calypso enjoyed the nice cool water, and running around in the sand with Vidhi right next to her! While it’s been a bit of a struggle switching dogs halfway through the session, Vidhi and Calypso have jumped right into everything! Vidhi has found joy in getting to know this second dog of hers, who is such a bright, fun-loving puppy! Calypso is available for adoption! Emma helping Panda cool off, and acclimate some to the ocean’s tide! Emma and Panda were having so much fun at the beach today, they drew attention to a family, who fell in love with Panda- so much so, they submitted an application right then & there!!

For today’s outing, we took the campers over to Academy Sports to practice some loose leash walking in yet another very different classroom environment. We still have nearly half of our pups available for adoption! Our campers have until Friday to get their dog adopted. Our Story

The University of Doglando offers 6 acres of completely fenced in play areas and a private doggy beach. Focusing on natural and innate doggy instincts, curiosity and play, all play areas are unique from one another allowing the dogs to be stimulated in different ways. Unlike all others, Doglando offers the cleanest, safest and most aerated indoor and outdoor play areas. Our back door and windows are left open through out the day to allow: our dogs the freedom of the indoors and the great outdoors, continuous circulation of fresh air keeping the indoors well aerated and free of airborne illnesses, and the natural breakdown of urine and f***l matter on real grass unlike collection under artificial turf. At University of Doglando, the welfare and happiness of our four-legged clients is our primary business, not an afterthought or a hobby. We are owned and operated by Certified Trainer and Canine Behavior Specialist, Teena Patel. We understand dogs. We know how to create the right environment combined with the proper elements of care, to produce a successful well-mannered family companion.

We opened our doors with the intention to discover a better way to provide daycare. As a working labratory, it is our mission to create processes that can be standardized, streamlined and strengthed to provide a stable and predictable envionment in which our dogs can thrive.

Through our work, we have pioneered the Canine Enrichment model and we have developed the 8 Spheres of Canine Enrichment that we teach in our Canine Enrichment Academy at Doglando University.
