HSR Exotics stems from its roots that focused on Turtle and Tortoise education which was called Half-Shell Ranch. Now, we at HSR Exotics have put our efforts towards breeding quality reptiles. We work with multiple high end Ball Python mutations, different lines of Blue Tongued Skinks, and a curated selection of turtles and tortoises. Also, we work with a circle of trustworthy breeders to supply a

variety of different species that we do not breed. Being a small business we hope to bring the incomparable customer service and healthy animals that most big stores and chains cannot supply.

Irían Jaya (IJ) Blue Tongue Skinks are easily in the top 5 best Blue Tongues to have as a pet. They aren’t as widely available as Northerns, but there’s been a lot of effort to CB these in the states. I’ve had a few imports of these im the past that I was able to breed but I’ve never produced babies. This one in the photo is one of the first CB IJ’s I’ve owned and was produced by a good friend

Although we believe in supporting USARK FL and USARK - United States Association of Reptile Keepers because they are the only organizations that are fighting for us to keep our reptiles, there are many people who are against them. My favorite thing about what we do on the Reptiles With podcast is our openness to discourse. Specifically in this topic because some of the members of our podcast do not agree with USARK/USARKFL. Personally I do not see eye to eye with everything that these organizations may say, but our community is stronger together. We are for a clean, fruitful, and progressive reptile industry.

Today we released our podcast with USARKFL and TikisGeckos where we talk about many topics that we all debated. We argue, but most importantly we laugh. We find common ground even though there are disagreements. It’s okay for us to have our own beliefs. We should be able to have these conversations.

Super excited about this clutch! When I moved to Central Fl one of my goals was to find a species of Python that I could keep outdoors year round. I was mainly interested in the keeping part of it, but as I grew to love this species (Bredl’s Python) more and more I let the “breeder” side of me take over. Today I get to bask in the success of my work.
