CLOSED JULY 4th & 5th

Salzburg Animal Hospital will be closed on Thursday, July 4th, and Friday, July 5th, in observance of Independence Day. 🎆

If your pets need medication for the long weekend, please call ahead so we can have it ready and make arrangements to pick up before Wednesday, July 3rd. We want to ensure all our furry friends are well taken care of.

We will resume normal hours on Monday, July 8th.

UPDATE: Aurora has been found, and is now safe at home! Thank you to everyone who shared this post and actively helped to get this girl home :-)

At 10:00am on April 30, a female shepherd mix dog named Aurora pulled out of her collar while trying to enter the clinic, and ran behind the neighboring houses and into the woods near Chelsea Place. Please contact us if you see her, but approach with caution as she is fearful! (She does not have a collar or harness on, as she did pull out of her collar)

ATTENTION | Change in clinic hours on March 8th, 2024.

In honor of Gail Salzburg, and respect to the Salzburg family, we will be closing at noon on Friday, March 8th, to give our staff at Salzburg Animal Hospital the opportunity to pay their respects and commemorate her life.

Regular clinic hours will resume on Monday. Thank you for your understanding and support during this time.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Dr. Salzburg's beloved wife of 44 years, Gail.
She was a testament to love, partnership, and dedication. Together they embarked on the journey of opening our practice 29 years ago. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support touched the lives of all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers are with Dr. Salzburg and his family during this difficult time.
Gail will be deeply missed, but her memory will forever be cherished in our hearts.

As we step into the New Year, please note our revised clinic hours. Starting January 1st, we will no longer be open on Saturdays. Your pet's health remains our top priority. If you have any old linens, towels, blankets, toys, etc, that you would like to donate to a great organization, please drop them off at Salzburg Animal Hospital before November 11th. One of our techs is making a trip to Jacksonville, and bringing all donations to this amazing rescue organization, who recently rescued 29 dogs from a fighting ring. EDIT: Due to some damage left behind by the storm and the streets being unsafe to drive, Salzburg Animal Hospital will now also be closed Friday, September 30th. At this time, we do plan in being open Saturday, October 1st, but once again this may change because our number one priority is making sure our clients and staff stay safe. We will continue to update this post with any new developments.

Due to hurricane Ian, Salzburg Animal Hospital will be closing early today at noon, and also be closed tomorrow September 29th. We plan on being open normal business hours Friday September 30th, but this may change depending on what happens with the storm. Please stay safe!
