The Fourth of July is quickly approaching and we urge you to be prepared! 🐶🎆🐱

If you are needing medication for your pets for fireworks, now is the time to be giving us a call.

Our office will be CLOSED July 4th and we will be back in the office on Friday July 5th. Please make sure you plan your medication and food pick ups accordingly. We are open Monday thru Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm.

Our office will be closed for a staff meeting on Monday June 17th from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. If you have items to pick up (medication, food, etc.), we ask that you come before 12:00pm or after 2:00pm. You will also be unable to reach us by phone during that time.

Finishing touches are being done on the interior. We are so excited to see the progress and to have most of the remodeling come to a close. We still anticipate 1-2 months to complete all interior upgrades. We look forward to our patients and clients enjoying their new experience in our refreshing new facility. Final reveal to come soon!

We are happy to see the portable building leave! There are many new improvements inside along with the lobby finally being demolished.

I am in awe of everyone’s patience and support during this endeavor. We are extremely grateful to have been able to serve our clients and their pets in the midst of this huge undertaking. We are very excited to see the final-phase wrap up as the finishing touches will soon take place. Stay tuned for our official announcement of completion!

His name is George and he is looking for someone to love him forever! He was surrendered to our hospital after his elderly owners were no longer able to care for him. He is approximately a year and half old, neutered, and vaccinated. He is a big squish potato that would do well in a home with dogs, another big male cat, or older children.

We had the joy of eating this cupcake cow that was donated to us by The Chapter President, Isabelle Fidler, of the Silver Sands Middle School FFA. It was part of a fundraising bake sale to help feed the farm animals through the summer.

This week, we celebrate the important people behind the front desk here at Tomoka Pines Veterinary Hospital ! Although you might not see these lovely ladies as often as you used too because we are currently under construction, they are still the ones who are answering your phone calls and scheduling appointments, assisting with pet supply purchases, and updating patient files amongst so many other tasks. They are the glue that holds us together and are vital to our profession. Their compassion, hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed.

Good morning,

Remodeling of the hospital has begun, please bear with us while we are “under construction.” We will remain open for business during our regular hours. The main part of the hospital where we normally see appointments is under construction, therefore we have a modular building set up behind the clinic where we will see your pets for their doctor appointments.

Our lobby will remain open for picking up prescriptions and food. You will also come into the lobby if your pet is seeing one of our technicians for an appointment, being dropped off for an appointment, or surgical/dental procedure.

We are trying to make this process as easy as possible and will have signage out front directing you to the proper areas. Your current email or text reminders will also have instructions on how to handle your pet’s appointment/procedure. And as always, one of our receptionists will be available by phone for any questions or concerns.

Below you will find some "picture guides" to help you better navigate the parking situation and which area to be utilized for your appointment.

Good morning,

About 4 months ago, a small feral kitten was noticed hanging around our parking lot. The receptionists began feeding her, trying to gain enough trust to try to trap her. FINALLY last Thursday… SUCCESS !! “Minnow,” as we call her, was easily trapped. She clearly WANTS to learn how to be someone’s loving INDOOR kitty ! She even purrs and “makes bread” !! She still has a way to go to learn to fully trust humans, but we feel she will progress so much better if she goes to her new forever home, with someone who understands that she needs some gentle caring and understanding as she adjusts to people and living indoors. She is spayed and fully vaccinated. Won’t you consider adding this sweet girl to your family ?? If interested, please call the hospital at (386) 672-3137.
