Rabies alert! 🚨 Is your pet vaccinated?
🚨 Rabies Alert in Ormond Beach 🚨
The Florida Department of Health in Volusia County (DOH-Volusia) has issued a rabies alert following a confirmed case in a cat near Collins St. and Hand Ave. in Ormond Beach. To ensure the safety of our community and your pets, Volusia County Animal Services will not be accepting cats from within the affected area for TNR (spay/neuter) services at our clinic for the next 60 days.
Please be aware of the following boundaries under the rabies alert:
- Eastern: South Center St./South Orchard St.
- Northern: State Road 40/West Granada Blvd.
- Southern: Golf Ave./Calle Grande St.
- Western: Clyde Morris Blvd.
Here’s how you can protect your pets and family:
✅ Vaccinate your pets and keep them supervised when outdoors.
✅ Avoid contact with wild or stray animals.
✅ Contact Ormond Beach Animal Control at 386-676-3262 for any concerns regarding cats within this area.
