Fuzzy is a young female chihuahua, 9 pound lap dog. Initially shy, Fuzzy quickly adapts. Spayed, with all vaccinations, including rabies, completed on 10/2024. Extremely sweet and energetic, Fuzzy would thrive with another dog to play with.

As February celebrates the spirit of love, Zena requests that you share her post and spread the word about the abundance of love she has to offer. Zena is seeking a new family to share her love with. Away from the rescue, Zena reveals her calm and gentle nature, promising to bring immense happiness to a lucky individual or family. She demonstrates excellent leash manners, gets along with most dogs, and possesses extraordinary talents, including clearing tall fences with ease. It's worth noting that Zena's desire to explore appears to stem from a need to prove her abilities rather than wander aimlessly, however, to guarantee her safety during off-leash outdoor adventures, boundary training or an electric fence may be required.

Who was looking for a small dog?

Knox says he may be small in size but he is big on personality!
Knox is a1 year old Mini Aussie, neutered, micro-chipped, house trained, basic obedience including sit and recall, excellent on leash. Very loving and kind boy with people, he known how to use his voice for attention. Knox likes to be the boss of the little dogs and is a little food and toy agressive with the small dogs in the house, so probably best with no small children also.

We are having a Pop-up event next weekend at Warehouse Thrift. While some choose to go out in the cold and catch fish, we decided to do something a little warmer! We are going to have a Mini Adoption event and a Fundraiser Doggy Photoshoot at Warehouse Thrift in Oroville. Bring your favorite Canine Valentine with you and we will be taking digital photos with a Valentine backdrop (by donation). If you don't have a dog, no problem! We will have a couple wonderful dogs at the event and you may just find your perfect Valentine companion and we will take a picture of both of you!

We hope to see you all on Saturday! January 18th from 11AM-2PM at Warehouse Thrift

HOME TO HOME: Tucker, a 6-year-old Lab/Great Pyrenees mix with a heart as big as his 80-pound frame! Tucker belongs to beloved neighbors in the Chesaw-Molson area with permanent disabling condition. They are no longer able to meet his exercise needs. This decision was made out of love, and they are dedicated to finding Tucker a home that will cherish him as much as they do.

Tucker is neutered, up-to-date on shots, and loves spending time outdoors, but he’s equally fond of cuddling up in his person’s bedroom. He’s a smart boy who uses a bell on the door to let you know he needs to go out. Tucker gets along well with other dogs and lives harmoniously with a cat.

A Few Things to Know About Tucker:
Foodie Habits: Tucker enjoys a mix of dry dog food, treats, and homemade chicken broth with egg.

Grooming Needs: Tucker has long hair that requires maintenance to avoid matting.

Phineas is a fun guy who likes to laugh at his own jokes! He knows lots of tricks but he will make you work for them, he doesn't just hand them out for free. If you want entertainment you better bring some Christmas Cookies! If you are looking for a great dog full of holiday cheer and you don't have chickens or small dogs then quite possibly Phin is for you! Phineas has also spent a couple years here with us and he was adopted out this summer but returned due to the whole "liking chicken too much" thing. Phin is 5 years old, leash trained, crate trained and has some basic obedience (yes,even without cookies).

Or maybe it looks like coming to the rescue and playing with the dogs!
Lux is another dog that has been at N.O. Paws Left Behind for over 2 years. For these younger dogs they have spent more of their time at the rescue than in a home but that doesnt' mean they aren't deserving. If you come meet them and give them a chance you will see what amazing dogs they are. If you are thinking about adopting, the best way to get to know the dogs is come spend time with them and see who clicks with you . They all have their special personalities. Lux here is a ham and a people pleaser but he also loves to play and he is good with other dogs. He kind of reminds me of Scooby Doo with those eyes!

Stoney has been at the rescue since he was 10 months old, he is now 3 1/2 and he has been here over 2 years, over half his life. He doesn't show well in his pen but turn him loose and his will show you what a great boy he is. He loves to run and play, he is good with other dogs (male and female). He knows some tricks, poses like a pro, and he is as handsome as can be! I was told he can get a little nippy when he gets excited during play so probably best with no small children but otherwise he is good with kids, leash trained and crate trained.
