What started out to be an innocent gift for my children and I (Sadie), has turned into an absolute love of matching our puppies to their forever home. We were reborn out of the ashes of our own family tragedy. When thinking about names for our place, we were tossing around something about the Phoenix. Conveniently, our initials are H A and S, we played with that for quite some time and came up wit
h a name. I had waited for 20 years to get my first full blooded Aussie, I worked for a woman that introduced me to them that long ago. There was no real good reason for me to be online looking for puppies, we had enough to contend with trying to run the business that my husband and I started before he passed away and raise our two girls. However, there I was at 10:30 pm looking at puppyfind when I found her! Sadie, with a little heart on her nose, and a black heart on her side in her merle coat. We needed a friend to make us smile, something that would comfort us when we felt weak and needed a friend. Well, there wasn't anyone to tell me no, so I sent a message to Silver Bullitt Aussies. Trisha called me within five minutes even though she had three babies (now growing like weeds.) At that time I had no way to know what a grand adventure that little beast would take us on. Six months later, our friendship grew with watching her page, and when she needed help with her own personal world, (and no one to again tell me no,) I fostered two of her females. One of which would later not stay in Iowa when I tried to take her home. A trip to Iowa later, and my families first group of Silver Bullitt pups was born at the house. A funny thing happened then while fostering two of her dogs. It gave rise to our love of bringing the same happiness to other families that our pups have brought to us. We joke (Trisha and I) that the only dogs of mine that I chose for myself are the ones that come out of our own litters of pups. We spend long hours looking at pedigrees, and talking about the good the bad and the ugly of one puppy over another as far as structure and personality. I have never seen an ugly puppy, but have seen some that are better suited for our program than others. She has taught me so much in the last four years and we are honored that she feels we are ready to fly. At Rising Ashes Aussies (and Silver Bullitt Aussies) we feel a quality, structurally sound, breed standard pup, with amazing personality that matches a loving family to a T is our top priority. We ask our families for updates on our puppies, how they grow and learn so we can enhance our program. We like to combine the beautiful of the showroom, with the function of the working dogs. Making them a suitable match for almost every home with a desire to have a very trainable dog. Training an Aussie is not an option. They will need training and will strive to please their human at every turn. Our puppies are raised in our home with our children. Please make certain that you will have sufficient time to train your puppy. 15 minutes in the morning and night will mean the difference between a pup that is jumping on people and one that will sit with 4 on the floor to be greeted and petted. Thank you very much for reaching our story and considering a Rising Ashes pup.
