Did you know, OAH offers CT scans right here in the clinic?!😏

Reggie a 4 year old DSH underwent his first CT scan with Dr. Heather and her team to help identify what may be going on with his case!🐾

The CT scanner is an advanced diagnostic imaging tool that gives detailed 3D images of your pet's internal structures. Think of it as an ultra-clear X-ray that lets veterinarians see exactly what's happening inside your pet's body—right down to their bones, organs, and soft tissues! 🐾

The CT scanner helps our veterinarians to identify:
•Anomalies in the body
•tumors
•identify or rule out metastasis (or spreading) of various cancers that are known to be present elsewhere in the body.
•evaluation of nasal disease in dogs and cats with chronic nasal discharge
•help veterinarians understand orthopedic abnormalities (like elbow dysplasia) and plan for corrective procedures
•poly-trauma—where multiple organs and systems are damaged—CT scans enable doctors to obtain a firmer grasp on the severity and complexity of the various injuries, facilitating smarter and more strategic treatment.

Lasting love deserves lasting itch relief. Ask your vet about how Cytopoint® can provide long-lasting relief for dogs with skin allergies! (allergic dermatitis).

Cytopoint works like your dog’s own immune system! It is specifically designed to target and neutralize one of the main proteins that send itch signals to your dog’s brain, which triggers scratching, licking and chewing!

•Blocks a signal that triggers allergic itch.❌

•Relieves signs of itch such as scratching and licking✨

•Allows red, irritated skin to heal 🩹

Closing at 12:00pm today!

Please note, we will be closed on New Year's Day and will reopen Thursday, 1/2, ready to assist you and your pets 8:00am-5:00pm. 🐾

As we ring in the New Year, keep these few tips in mind to keep your pets safe during the celebrations 🎉

- Keep them indoors!
Loud noises from fireworks and celebrations can be stressful for pets. Keep your pets inside to reduce anxiety and potential escape risks.

- Ask your vet about medication; If your pet is especially anxious around fireworks, talk to your vet about calming medications or natural remedies to help them relax.

- Create a calming space! Set up a cozy, quiet spot away from the noise where they can relax. Use blankets, toys, or calming music to help them feel secure.

- Avoid toxic foods: Resist the urge to share your holiday treats with your pets! Foods like chocolate, grapes, and alcohol can be harmful to them.

- Secure the trash: After your celebration, make sure your trash is secured to prevent your pets from getting into leftovers or dangerous items.

- ID and microchip! Ensure your pets have up-to-date tags, and consider microchipping them in case they get spooked and wander off.

Wishing you and your pets a safe, joyful start to the New Year!🐾✨
