The shop, sawmill, studio and home are situated in the center of a 160 acre tree farm. Our timber has been managed for sustainable growth and production for 34 years. Besides raising, harvesting, and building furniture from the surrounding land, we manage to maintain several acres of Organic garden and orchard, a herd of heritage pigs, and a world class Flemish Giant rabbitry.

One thing we are thankful for every time is when one of our creations arrives safe and sound to its forever home. Shipping is no small task and one of the most stressful parts of the whole undertaking. We're also very thankful when customers share our work in its new habitat. Here is me and the sawmill rising from the ashes. All things considered, sawing is my favorite occupation.

SO.... my knees gave out 15 years ago, followed by my hip. All were replaced in 2015-2016. Something clicked this year and my recovery is complete. I now have the physical capacity to run the mill again. I am at it with a vengeance. The mill awakened with little wrong with it. YES, that is a Volkswagen engine. And, yes, we do start it with a pull rope.
