Message from Finder: She definitely has an owner - has a collar and rabies tag, happy to jump in the car for a ride. I’m assuming she got scared of the fireworks and got out somehow 🙈

Description: Black, white tan female - scared of the fireworks but came to me. She looks like she’s either had pups recently or just finished a heat cycle. No name or address, just a rabies tag from Prairie Paws of Manhattan, KS - she is safe at my in our spare crate, food, water, treat & bed! She’s in my grge since I have other dogs in my . She has a fan and some calming music going for her! Hoping to reunite her with her owners tomorrow morning!!!

Message from Owner: Our Beagle, Tracker, has been missing since 8:30pm yesterday (7/3) evening. We’ve endlessly searched all over Anthony, Ks and surrounding back roads with no luck finding him. He slipped out the back door that was barely cracked open and slipped through our fence. He’s terrified of fireworks and the thunderstorms so there no telling how far he’s gotten. We’re desperately asking for help in looking through backroads and fields. We miss our boy so much. We rescued him from Arkansas last year and he’s just not familiar with this area. He probably got turned around and can't find his way back… Any and All help is appreciated.

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we share the passing of long time Project K-9 Hero Program Member, K-9 Sakar (PK9H #50), yesterday from medical issues. Sakar was a staple in our organization for six years, and he will be greatly missed.

In 2018, Sakar was the very first K-9 we saved from being euthanized overseas when he was deemed unworkable in Afghanistan by the U.S. Government, due to behavioral issues. Once Project K-9 Hero was contacted for help by State Department Officials, we found Sakar a rehabilitation trainer, in Melissa Schmalhorst, and a new home with handler/trainer Sam White. Both of them did an amazing job with Sakar, which allowed him to live past his 12th birthday, rather than being put down overseas at only six years old.

It wasn’t always the easiest of tasks, but Sam showed the patience, love, and dedication that was needed for Sakar to thrive in his 2nd chance at life. Please take a moment to remember Sakar today, as our thoughts and hearts are with Sam and his family on the loss of his best friend!

Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta Bake😍🍗
Ingredients:
1 pound rotini pasta, cooked and drained (save 1 cup of cooking water for casserole)
3 cups cooked chicken, diced or shredded
2 (15 ounce) jars Alfredo sauce
1 cup garlic Parmesan sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Directions:
Preheat and Prep: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter, ensuring even coverage.
Mix Pasta and Chicken: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta and diced or shredded chicken. Pour in the Alfredo sauce and garlic Parmesan sauce, followed by half of the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix the ingredients thoroughly, ensuring the pasta and chicken are evenly coated. If you prefer extra sauciness, add about ½ cup of reserved pasta water to the mixture and stir well.
Transfer to Baking Dish: Once the pasta and chicken are coated in the creamy sauce, transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Spread it out evenly to ensure consistent baking.
Add Cheese Topping: Sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top of the pasta and chicken mixture, creating a tantalizing cheese layer.
Bake to Perfection: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, enveloping the dish in irresistible aromas.
Optional Golden Finish: For an extra touch of golden perfection, remove the foil during the last few minutes of baking and broil the pasta bake for 2-3 minutes. Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning, as broilers can be quite intense.
Garnish and Serve: Once the pasta bake is done baking, let it cool for about 5 minutes. If desired, garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and freshness. Then, slice into generous portions and serve warm, allowing everyone to savor the creamy goodness.
