About MToxins

MToxins Venom Lab is a professional venom collection facility located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Founded in 2011, we focus on providing snake, spider and scorpion venoms for antivenom production, pharmaceutical, medical, and scientific research. We strive to support research, antivenom production, and intervention to treat the global snakebite crisis through working with global organizations including the Asclepius Snakebite Foundation. MToxins has been involved in some of the largest evolutionary publications on snake venoms in recent decades, which can be viewed at http://www.mtoxins.com/scientific-research.html

In addition to providing venoms, MToxins also strives to provide educational opportunities for the public focused on reptiles and arachnids. Our facility in downtown Oshkosh opens to the public in May 2020, featuring educational exhibits of live reptiles and arachnids from around the globe. Guests will have the opportunity to view our staff working in the venom lab extracting and processing venoms, and learn from interactive educational programs to learn all about reptiles and arachnids, what our venom is used for around the globe, interact with ambassador animals, and enjoy science-focused activities. Get up close and personal with mambas, cobras, taipans, kraits, coral snakes, rattlesnakes, rare vipers, venomous lizards, widow spiders, tarantulas, scorpions, and more - all safely behind viewing glass!

MToxins offers hands-on educational internships for currently enrolled college students studying chemistry, biology, captive animal husbandry, education/interpretation, natural resources, or related fields.
