We have upcoming openings in our Puppy Day School program starting on Wednesday March 5th! This is an excellent opportunity to have Certified Trainers help you socialize and train your puppy! Do you want to raise your puppy to be confident, courageous and calm in new situations? Poised Puppy class can help!
This 3 week group training class is for puppies under 6 months of age and is designed to empower both guardians and puppies in the life long training process.

Humans will learn about conditioning, desensitization and how to read/understand dog body language
Relax on a mat/bed in new environments
Targeting
Navigating new environments/floor surfaces
Checking out new/scary objects like the vacuum cleaner, statues/decorations, etc- desensitization to new sounds, common loud sounds that can cause sound sensitivity
Treat and retreat games for meeting strangers/consent checks/permission to pet or polite ways to say no
Confidence around other dogs
Confidence walking on/getting up on new surfaces such as grooming tables
Handling for grooming and Vet cooperative care for exam procedures including use of tools

We have both daytime and evening upcoming Advanced Manners classes available! We will work on the following:

Sit stay (1 minute) and down stay (3+minutes) with distance 10+feet /big distractions
Polite Greetings- pre-Canine Good Citizen
Walk politely next to your guardian “Heel”
Training for “Quiet” and reducing excitement behaviors
Go to your “place”- sending to a bed or mat
Effective reduction in using treats as rewards while maintaining excellent responses to cues
Leave it- Improve impulse control with challenges/ high value items
Polite and calm behavior near other dogs and strangers
Really reliable “Come” games with distance and distraction and out of sight
“Touch” hand targeting and games to improve attention, control and focus! Register today!
