It’s been a tad hot for midday walkies, but that doesn’t stop early morning walks and midday potty breaks.

I’m still booking dog walks, drop ins, and overnights for fall. Once my availability fills up, it will be very hard to find wiggle room for one offs on my schedule.

NOW is also the time to book your HOLIDAY pet care for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Kwanza, Hanukkah, and New Year’s Eve/Day. Don’t make plans without thinking about your pets first.

Labor Day weekend is already booked. If you need pet care for Labor Day weekend, message me for a list of alternative pet caretakers in Mahaska County.

It’s Emmett the Golden Retriever appreciation day here at Paw Prints Pet Services. This good boy has come so far on his dog walking journey, from the walk itself to the putting on of his harness and leash. He is officially graduating this week to only needing one leash instead of two after consistently proving he’s ready for it the past couple weeks. He’s also very good with “sit” and “leave it” during our walks. We are working on heeling before crossing the street, but he does stop and look both ways with me, which is much appreciated. Thanks for being the best boy, buddy! #goldenretriever #dog #oskaloosa

Building trust and establishing goals takes time. That’s why Cooper and I did a couple practice walks at Lacey Field and the Oskaloosa Bike Trail before hitting the wilderness at Keomah State Park. As our relationship grows and a foundation of trust is established, the options of where we can hike will expand to fit his capabilities. (10/10 A+ boy)
