Introduction to Rally

Interested in learning the foundations needed to pursue Rally Obedience with your canine partner? Want to learn what Rally-O is all about? Or just want a fun night out with your dog? This is the class for you!

Each week you will learn 2 or 3 skills necessary in the Rally ring and then practice them in short courses that build on each other as class progresses, working up to a full novice level course. Some of the topics covered are proper positioning of sit and down, heel, finishing right and left, back-up, getting-in, front, spin, and now to build upon these basic skills to tackle more advanced signs!

If there is interest, a beginner level course will follow.

Kara has been working with dogs and their humans in a training capacity since being introduced to training and behavior while in college obtaining her degree in Veterinary Technology in 1998. Since, she has taught manners, STAR Puppy, and CGC Courses. She began taking Rally Obedience classes with her Walker Hound, Maura, over 4 years ago and earned Maura’s Novice Rally title virtually last year. Most recently, Kara became a certified Fit Dog instructor with the AKC after nerding out on canine conditioning while using it to make her Walker’s speedier at Fast CAT last year (her dog Ducky was the #4 Walker Hound in the Country for 2023). In addition to Agility, Rally, Fast CAT, CGC, and Trick Dog; Kara’s hounds also have titles in UKC Field Trials, Bench Shows, and Water Racing.

So what's new you say? Well, I have Tuesday evening's open in April for 2 new beginner dog agility classes! One at 5:15pm & the other at 6:30 pm. Starting on April 1st. These beginner classes are for dogs ages 9 months and up with atleast a basic manners class under their belt. This is a 5 wk course introducing the basic equipment and handling necessary to help you and your dog enjoy the sport of agility. My classes only have 7 spots available. 3 in one class and 4 in the other. $125.00 for the session. If you are interested in enrolling or need more info please message me. 🐾 🐾 🐾
