August is “itchy pet awareness month” so let’s bring some attention to the common causes of itchy skin in our K9 friends!

Don’t let your buddy live uncomfortably, if you notice excessive itching you should consult your veterinarian. There are a few different reasons your dog could be itchy, find out why!

🚨 Be kind to your babies, keep them hydrated, cool, and inside!! With the rise in temperature in our area it’s become very dangerous for not only you but your pets! They can easily overheat and become VERY ill.

• Keep your doggies AND kitties inside!
• Keep them hydrated, encourage water consumption!
• When letting your dog outside, whether it’s to go potty or to transport somewhere, keep their paws off the hot asphalt! When the temperature outside is 90 degrees, the asphalt can heat up to 140 degrees OR MORE.
• do NOT leave your pet on the car! Leaving your windows down will not protect them from this insufferable heat.

These animals deserve constant love and care, keep them protected from the dangers of heat ☀️ 🐾

🚨 Missing Wallaby – Please Help! 🚨

Our beloved wallaby Mac got out last night just before 6 PM and is currently missing. She was last seen between our property on Tug Hill Road and Ontario Orchards. We believe she has stayed close but is hiding. We used thermal imaging drones last night and were alwaysys just one step behind her.

We are aware of the Facebook post where she was spotted — thank you to those who shared it! If you see her again, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly so we can respond quickly.

Mac is shy but very special to us. If you spot her or have any information, please call G & G Animals at (315) 326-1434 right away.

Thank you everyone for sharing this post. We will miss him tremendously but he will actually be going to a client of ours, so we will still get to watch him grow up! And most importantly, we know he is going to a great home. 🧡
