There is so much more to running a zoo then many think about. We are responsible for not only the safety but the care and also physical fitness of our Animals.
In the wild animals are forced to have to travel long distances to find food but here they do not have to do anything that they do not want to do.
Here is a sneaky video I took of Jordyn Dala doing a phenomenal training session not only for their health but also so as time goes on, we can ask them to do things to make our lives and their lives simpler while we try to care for them.

There's nothing like coming home and taking off your work clothes and getting into something comfy - Walter the Tailless Whip Scorpion took it to the extreme and shed his exoskeleton shortly after being home from the fair! This is natural for many invertebrates and shows that Walter is happy, healthy, and growing π¦
Happy Adoption Day to Cocoa the Coatimundi! πCocoa has been with us for a whole year already - her favorite things to do include going on walks, eating tortilla chips, and cuddling up in your lap after a long day of bothering Cosmo π
