Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Ours was uneventful until Ben murdered a rabbit that evening. Long story short, I got my shovel out in an attempt to toss the poor rabbits body over the back fence. I don't know why but my 6 foot fence seemed 10 feet tall. I said a little prayer for the rabbit and gave the poor thing a good toss to make sure all of it cleared the fence. It landed on a tree branch like a blanket on a clothes line. I couldn't leave it hanging there so I had to get a rake to get it out. Also, it was raining. Ben and I didn't speak for a couple of days.

I don't care if they're male, female, neutered, spayed, German bloodlines or a rescue. My favorite kind of Rottweiler is a well trained one.

Maybelline, the beautiful little Aussie pup came in for a private puppy consult to address some minor potty training issues as well as some sassy attitude stuff. If you too have a sassy puppy with a little bit of an attitude 😅 I have a couple of spots available in the new session of Puppy Preschool beginning Monday 6/10 @ 6pm.

I have some availability in the Doggy College class beginning next week on Tues 9/5 @ 7:30pm. This class is a nice option for those that have already completed Doggy K or the private Basic Obedience class. It covers strengthening or restoring your onleash work and gradually transitioning into off leash control. If you have any questions please email me at [email protected]!

What do you do with a big male GSD that misses his people and feels a little anxious? Find what motivates him and have him work for it. He likes this better than hugs, plus he's so proud of himself.

Monty, Mongomery PD's new Comfort Dog started private lessons with me today. I started the session with some flirt pole (tug/play) time for a couple of reasons. First, the tug game makes it easy to start working on "drop it."
Second, he needs an outlet for all that young GSD energy. He needs time to just be a dog. To be allowed to chase, bite, tug, jump, etc. It's going to be important for his well being. After the play we worked on heel, sit and threshold manners. He was a pretty content little guy after his first lesson. 🖤
