A little story about Hermey.
A guy pulled into the shelter parking lot then came in. He said he found a dog on Hwy 17.
When we walked out into the parking lot to look at the dog, we found out that when the guy pulled into the parking lot and stopped, he had opened the door and let the dog out. We got a glimpse of Hermey as he headed south and then east behind the fence of the business next door.
They guy said he thought the dog would stay right there in the parking lot and we explained that the barking dogs and excitement emanating from the outdoor dogs scares a lot of the dogs coming in and if those dogs weren't contained, they would take off until acclimated.
That was the last we saw of Hermey until we got a call a week or more later, from someone living about a mile away. Kaitlyn went over to the house and it was getting late. She saw Hermey but before she could do anything, the people left their dog out who chased Hermey off.
Eventually we got him the next day and what a sweet boy! He loves playing his version of fetch which is dropping the ball behind out or trying to get you to chase him while he has the ball. Hermey is just a fun boy!

Flume just became available. He's the last of the culvert puppies and he would love to find his people.
Flume is adorable and very cute but he's not a fan of photo shoots so his little ears look a little droopy. He's a puppy that like to play with his siblings and play tug. He lives life to the fullest and dreaming of a big back yard with lots of grass and dirt to dig in.

Treasure felt good enough to spend the day up front supervising the staff! She got to see some other dogs and her little tail was just wagging away and seemed so happy.

We are happy to see her gradually get better every day.

We rarely see our dogs work it like Creator did today. She was showing Garrett all of her tricks and moves without us even prompting her! She spent 24 hours back at the shelter and said this was her chance to get out of here!😆
Garrett had contacted us about a different dog but decided Creator was the one for him!

Eagle Eye has gained a whopping 10 pounds since he arrived. He's a fantastic dog that's very athletic and can clear a 4 foot fence with no problem. He likes playing fetch and he'll go behind you to drop the ball. Sometimes, he'll just grab the ball and dance around hoping you'll play chase with him.
We don't know if he's hunted and he doesn't seem to know any commands like sit or stay. He appears to want to chase cats but what he'll do with them, we don't know.
Eagle Eye loves people and his little nubby tail goes 100 mph and then his whole body gets in on the wiggling back and forth.

Creator graduated from the Ridge Dog Training Program and is available for adoption. Her adoption letter written by her handler is below.
Hi,My name is Creator. I am 5 inches tall, weigh 6.5 pound and I look like a miniature German Shepherd. I came to Coyote Ridge on 10/10/25. I have been trained manners and cues by four in house handlers and helped out by many other trainers as well.I am very sweet and am not like most other dogs in my small class. I don't bark unless I am playing, I don't bite and I am very smart. Since I have been here I have been taught to recall to my name which has been my most challenging cue. Leave it, look when called, taught to walk on a leash, sit and stay, go to my kennel when advised, go to my place (blanket or bed) when asked, and walking next to my Handler (heel). They have also taught me to have good manners such as not jumping on people, not jumping on furniture, going potty outside which I am really good at as long as you take me out early in the morning, periodically during the day and late at night. I have also been taught many tricks like "load up stand for search, dance, fetch, spin, catch food when thrown at me), I am also a social butterfly, I love people and love to play with all other dogs. I look forward to my forever home and new friends.
