We also strive to educate people on the need to spay/neuter and why heartworm preventative and vaccinations are important.

The news of transport companies and rescues, and so called sanctuaries not doing their best for their rescues is news, but it is not the norm. All of us that do rescue in general do the best we can. You should always make sure you are sending an animal to a reputable rescue, and that that rescue uses a reputable transport company if they adopt out of state. This is heartbreaking and breaks people's trust in rescues. I can assure you that the majority of us do the very best we can for rescues and we have veterinarians that will back us on that.

We can't thank our veterinarians and their staff enough (and their clients) - Care Veterinary Services in Millington. They did a giving tree for us this year and took in lots of donations. Our rescues, as do we, greatly appreciate it. We received dog food, canned dog food, blankies, doggy clothes and more. They go to extremes to help us with our rescues - there are no words to let them know how much we appreciate it!

Our rambunctious Dixie Mae (an Australian Cattle Dog mix) is looking for her foster or foster to adopt home! She is very sweet, is crate trained, potty trained (outside and pee pads). Dixie Mae is approximately 16 weeks old. She is rides well in vehicles, loves people and other dogs, and adores attention. She is very smart and learns fast. She would do best in an active home with no small children. Fenced yard is required :)
