Meet our newest rescue, Myles Barkley. He is a two year old Jack Russel/Australian Shepherd mix. He is as sweet as they come. Myles gets along with other dogs and cats. The news of transport companies and rescues, and so called sanctuaries not doing their best for their rescues is news, but it is not the norm. All of us that do rescue in general do the best we can. You should always make sure you are sending an animal to a reputable rescue, and that that rescue uses a reputable transport company if they adopt out of state. This is heartbreaking and breaks people's trust in rescues. I can assure you that the majority of us do the very best we can for rescues and we have veterinarians that will back us on that.

We can't thank our veterinarians and their staff enough (and their clients) - Care Veterinary Services in Millington. They did a giving tree for us this year and took in lots of donations. Our rescues, as do we, greatly appreciate it. We received dog food, canned dog food, blankies, doggy clothes and more. They go to extremes to help us with our rescues - there are no words to let them know how much we appreciate it!

Merry Christmas to you and yours! This is one of the doggies (the one bounding out of the pool - now named Remi and living in Florida) you, as our supporters, have helped get rescue and adopted to a super awesome home. FYI, the others in the photo were also adopted or died of old age, and some are still with us because they are unadoptable. Please support your local rescues rather than the ones that use money to post ads on TV and pay their CEOs thousands of dollars. Your local rescues, legitimate ones, are all volunteer and all funds go to vetting current rescues and to rescue more dogs.

Meet Vinnie. He is new to Lace and will be available for adoption after his medical treatment has been completed. Vinnie is an approximately 7 year old Poodle mix that weighs 13 lbs. He is a get along lover boy. Vinnie does not much care for car rides. What he does love is being with his person, playing ball, and going for walks. He came to us a couple days ago with a growth that had burst open on the side of his head. He is scheduled for surgery next week. Meet Chloe! Amazingly beautiful and smart 7 month old lab gal. She is playful with other dogs as well as enjoying her own company. Chloe has learned the beginning puppy training of sit, down, wait and come. Leash work is coming along nicely.

I have great hopes for this sweet loving gal, would love to see her continue training with someone for therapy dog. She has high potential!

Chloe will be ready for adoption after November 29th.

Chloe will be spayed, utd on vaccinations and is micro chipped.

Prince is my name and loving is my game. The humans tell me that I am approximately seven months old. I like to be with my humans and especially love the young ones. I get along with other dogs, cats, and love the big bird that my foster mom has (even if it is VERY loud lol). I have a good start on my basic obedience and I walk nicely on a leash. I am timid with new people, sights, smells and sounds at first, but adapt quickly. I would prefer a home that has kids, a fence yard, and an active family. Prince update: Vet visit today. His right leg is not broken. He has soft tissue damage that will take time to heal. He only weighed 39 pounds. He is approximately 5-1/2 months old. Neutering has been postponed for at least 30 days due to him being underweight. He wowed the vet and her staff today with his behavior and affection.

Please welcome Prince to the rescue. He is an American Shepherd. We are only guessing at his age to be between 6-7 months old. He is such a sweet and well-mannered young boy. He is crate trained and is currently being fostered with a cat, bird, and other dogs and is doing fantastic.

Are you hesitating to foster? I want to tell you a story of one of my foster experiences. Juki came into rescue on May 2019. I got so attached I did not want to let him go. But, his perfect family came along and I knew there was another dog out there that needed my help. He was adopted 7/21/19. I visited him today. Do you think they forget the help they get along the way? No, they don't. First photo is when he realized it was me and got excited (that is why it is a bit blurry), second is after he calmed down from his excitement at seeing me again. He always ran back to mom, to me, to his dad, to me - like he wanted to share his excitement at my visit with them. He loves his family! What a grand day!
