Our office will be closed for all services Thursday August 29th- Monday September 2nd. We will reopen on Tuesday September 3rd. Clinic Manager Kelly is looking for exercise equipment donations for Chessie Lane staff to create a work out area. All of the staff work long days and many of us work overtime making getting to the gym a challenge. This would give staff an opportunity to work out if desired on their lunch break. Chessie Lane Staff would like to give a shout out to Brady M. fireman/paramedic of Ottawa fire department. He was bringing his mom coffee today and saw Kelly and Abby shoveling gravel to fill in our landscape and took time to fill up our wheelbarrow multiple times and help fill in our landscape. Thank you for being an outstanding member of the community. Also big thanks to Pavers & More for a great price on quality landscape rock and gravel.

Biggie and Nemo are still looking for forever homes. They went on a hike today. They have been at Chessie Lane since March. Will you open your home to them?

Biggie (Grey Staffie) and Nemo (red and white boxer/pit mix) are still looking for their forever homes. Look how good they were for bath time! Contact Kelly at Chessie Lane if interested.

Remember our stray from 4/18/2023? No one came forward for him. We believe he is a boxer/pit mix (he has a docked tail and the boxer butt wiggle). We have dotingly named him Nemo because he is missing half of one of his ears (we think it gives him character!) He is heartworm negative and will be eligible for adoption after he is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He seems to be okay around other dogs (meet and greets are possible) and we can cat test him if needed. If interested please contact KELLY at Chessie Lane MONDAY-THURSDAY.

Say hello to Biggie! (You might remember him from about 2 months ago as one of our stray posts) Biggie is now a resident at Chessie Lane Animal Hospital. Coming from a rough past in Kentucky, another family rescued him but unfortunately it wasn't the right fit for Biggie. The staff at Chessie Lane decided Biggie deserved another chance because of how sweet his is. His favorite things in life are food and getting pets. Biggie needs special accommodations and will require a home with no children. SERIOUS ADOPTERS ONLY. He is currently heartworm positive and will be eligible for adoption in a few months once treatment is completed. If interested please contact KELLY at Chessie Lane MONDAY-THURSDAY.
