This little girl was dumped and is south of Otterville now at someone’s house. She has food aggression so she does not like when other dogs come near her food bowl. She’s become protective of the woman of the house. And they’re worried that she could become aggressive with their grandkids. She has become aggressive with the Neighbor dogs, but she needs a forever home. Is there anybody out there who could take this dogbecause she’s unable to stay where she’s at right now. We don’t know anything about her.

I have a fantastic update on Trueheart!!! She is the c**nhound that someone dumped in our town. Her new owner started working her immediately on doing what she is bred for, c**n hunting. She is a natural!! He also was able to get her papered and she has taken part of several tournaments and shows. She has also placed 2nd in one of them!!!! If that is not fantastic I do t know what it!!!❤️🐶.
This makes us realize that this is why you need to know the breed of dog that you’re getting. All of the puppies are cute when they’re little. But when true Car reached her grown-up age she needed to be doing what she was supposed to be doing. And I’m sure the people who got her thought oh my gosh, what do we do with her? So you know what they did? I dumped her in our community. And you guys that donated and supported and helped to get her fully vetted so she would be ready to go to her forever home, I think you from the bottom of my heart and so does she!
See the heart on her side. ❤️❤️❤️

This is so true!!!! Help instead of hurt!!!❤️🙏🏻🐶

There was a homeless man who 'camped' in the covered garage where my office was located. You'd see him huddle down for the night, along with his little dog, a small scruffy little terrier mix. When I walked thru the garage on my way to lunch, I would often check to see where he was and then bring him a burger and drink. He always tore the sandwich in half, ate one half and gave the other to his dog. I started bringing him a bag of dry dog food every month and he took great pains to keep it dry. His little dog rode in the child's seat in the grocery cart wherever he went.
One especially cold winter morning, I noticed his dog was missing and he seemed utterly forlorn. I bought him some coffee and he explained how the city rounded up the homeless and took them to the shelter because it was bitterly cold and they took his dog away from him. They took her to the local shelter (no license, no tags, no rabies vaccination). I was appalled.
I took the morning off, picked him up from the garage & drove him to the shelter where we asked to look for his 'lost' dog. When we found her, she put up such a racket of pure joy upon seeing him: yipping, yelping, wiggling uncontrollably. Paws squeezed between chain link trying to touch her master and his fingers stroking her little face.
I paid for her license, basic shots and retrieval fee and he rode back in silence hugging her so tight, I thought he would break her. When we got out, I told him to keep her safe. He hugged me, made Sasha give me a smooch of thanks, and hurried off to where he'd hidden his cart.
I understand the need to keep these souls safe but taking his one undeniable friend -- while legally founded -- was gut wrenchingly wrong on so many other levels.
Any act of kindness can change lives….no matter how great or small.

Long before the Philadelphia Inquirer article exposed the wrongdoings of Montco SPCA, we suspected that Conshohocken dogs were “transferred” to the Perkiomenville shelter location just to be euthanized. While the Conshohocken location does allow volunteers, the Perkiomenville location historically has not. Perk did for a short time but then banned volunteers. This can only be because they have something to hide. We are concerned that it is only a matter of time before the interim exec. Director eliminates the Conshohocken & Abington volunteer programs. Dogs can’t just disappear if there are people, like volunteers, that are aware and care about them.

Do you have a story to tell? Let us know, complete the form: https://forms.gle/r423KHEHsbE3Jatx9

The interim Exec. Dir. transferred Ryder the puppy from the Conshohocken location to the Perkiomenville location, stating that he was to be neutered and then adopted. Ryder was never adopted because he was euthanized and the shelter tried to hide it. This poor puppy was never even given a chance.

We must demand change from Montco SPCA - change in how they operate and change in management! A manager that participated in and condoned this bad behavior was rewarded and appointed as interim Executive Director by the board of directors. These people have no clue what they are doing and they should also resign.

What can you do to help?

Continue to contact the board of directors and tell them that you demand that they fire all current management. Also, ask that they resign from the board so that proactive members can join and create the change that is needed.

We encourage you to call, text and email these people every day: https://mspcaanimals.org/petition
