February is Pet Dental Health Month! Did you know that 80-90% of adult dogs (ages 3+) have periodontal disease? 🦷😬

🐾 Various factors can lead to an increased buildup of plaque and bacteria in our pets' mouths from breed to diet. The American Veterinary Medical Association recommends having yearly dental cleanings for your pets that have developed this disease.

🐾 If your dog or cat is experiencing any of these warning signs, visit your nearest GoodVets and discuss if a dental cleaning is needed for your furry friend!🐱🐶

November is Pet Cancer Awareness Month!

Unfortunately 1 in 4 dogs will develop cancer. Knowing what to look for, what breeds are most affected and when to have them checked with your veterinarian can help with early detection, and in many cases early detection leads to more successful treatment.

November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month!

The adoption rate for senior dogs (7 years or older) is lower than all other ages combined: Just over 50% find new homes. Senior dogs are grown up enough to fit into many situations — whether a family with kids or a single person who works, a retired couple or a single elderly person. No matter the context, all a senior dog wants is to be a loyal and loving companion.
