🚨 URGENT! Lexi is running out of time! 🚨

Lexi has been at the shelter for over 100 days—and the stress is starting to take its toll. She’s now on our Lifesaver list, which means we NEED to find her a home immediately.

Despite all the time spent in the shelter, Lexi remains one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. Here’s what we learned during her short-term foster:

Lexi has so much energy, love, and affection to give. She’s a snuggler who will shower you with kisses!
She LOVES tennis balls and spent hours playing in the backyard.
She’s crate trained—quiet all night, with a clean crate in the morning.
On walks, she’s a dream—easy, well-behaved, and great about paw wipes after a wet yard.
Lexi’s playstyle is gentle with other dogs, and she’s low-medium energy.
Lexi is only about 2 years old. She came to us as a stray and had to have her tail amputated due to trauma, but that hasn’t stopped her from being a sweet, easy-going girl. Sadly, the longer she’s at the shelter, the more we see her spirit fading. You can see it in her eyes—she’s losing hope, and we can’t let that happen.

Lexi deserves to be in a home, loved and cherished. She’s quiet, affectionate, and so easy to walk—she’s the perfect companion for someone who wants a loyal friend.

Mr. Anders's human companion was evicted and is now experiencing homelessness. Originally, Anders lived with two dogs, but his dog friend has already found a new home. A friend who initially assisted the owner is unable to keep them. A 14-year-old pup like Mr. Anders deserves a loving home, not a shelter. Let's work together to find a safe and comfortable place for him to spend his golden years.

St. Louis, the upcoming days is expected to bring challenging temperatures for the animals living on the streets. The best way to assist these vulnerable creatures is by creating more space for them in our shelter so they can escape from the scorching heat. Just yesterday, Animal Control brought us 7 dogs suffering from overheating. We are reaching out to ask for your support during this critical time by offering to foster an animal for at least 2 weeks, enabling us to rescue more lives. Please consider reaching out to friends and family members who may have extra room in their homes and are willing to help. If they are not active on social media, please give them a call and inform them of the urgent need for assistance at our city shelter, CARE STL. Let them know that fostering cost nothing because we provide everything. Let's come together to make a difference and save lives - we cannot accomplish this mission alone.🙏🙏🙏
