Today, we’re shining the light on Skyla, who’s been an indispensable part of the DaisyBelle family for almost 2 years! As our Bathing Team Manager, Skyla combines her keen eye for detail and years of dog expertise to deliver top-tier care—but what truly sets her apart is her effortlessly cool vibe and sunny disposition 🐾☀️

Whether she’s soothing nervous pups or keeping the team laughing with her laid-back humor, Skyla’s positivity is downright contagious. Dogs adore her, coworkers rely on her, and we’re so lucky to have her!

Here’s a little about Skyla in her own words.

Hi I'm Skyla, I'm the Bather Manger at Daisy Bells Dog Spa. I have been a dog bather for almost 5 years!
Our Bella May passed last year, and we are our taking time to find a new friend to play fetch with. When I'm not at work, I'm playing outside with my two daughters that i share my partner of 5 years. I also love to sneak away with a book!
I love getting to meet all of your lovely fur babies!
Fun fact I'm the youngest of 7 kids!

We’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on Abby, she is our newest grooming team member who has already made a huge impact! Abby’s soft-spoken nature and genuine kindness make her an absolute joy to work with. She’s always ready to lend a helping hand, whether it’s answering questions or offering thoughtful advice—yes, even on the important life decision of owning goats! (Thanks, Abby! 😂) Her positive energy and willingness to support others make her a perfect fit for our team. We’re so grateful to have Abby with us and can’t wait to see all the amazing things she’ll accomplish!

Here's a little about Abby in her own words.

I started grooming 2 years ago after I had been a bather for over 3 years. I chose to work in a grooming salon because dogs are never boring, and I always enjoy my day spent with pups.

I have 3 dogs with my boyfriend, and we live on his family farm with 300 goats, 16 dogs, and lots of wildlife critters.

Every day working with your pets is something different yet fun, and my favorite part of it is getting to do the funky or untraditional haircuts.

My days off are usually spent fishing, helping on the farm, or visiting my parents, niece, and 2 nephews in Kansas.

The most memorable thanks I’ve received was when a client came in with a wrapped card written to me for Christmas. It was a very kind & personal gesture which I will never forget!

The most unique pet name I’ve encountered has been Oatmeal Puppy-cakes.

My favorite way to unwind after grooming is an evening on the couch with my dogs, my snacks, and my Nintendo Switch.

My extracurricular activities usually depend on the season. I like to go out with my boyfriend & friends to hockey games, drag races, fishing, and concerts.

Today’s Team Spotlight is shining on our receptionist extraordinaire, Kenzie! 🌟
From the moment Kenzie joined our team, she’s brought so much talent, warmth, and dedication to everything she does. She’s not just an incredible colleague—she’s become a cherished part of our work family. We’re so grateful for her hard work, positive energy, and the way she makes every day brighter. Kenzie, we can’t imagine our team without you! 💛

Here’s a little about Kenzie in her own words.

This is my first job working with dogs, but I’ve been passionate about animals for years! I’ve volunteered at multiple shelters and studied Animal Biotechnology at OSU. I’m also a proud dog mom to two amazing pups: Berkley, a 3-year-old Golden Aussie Doodle, and Zara, a 2-year-old Shiba Inu. They’re my whole world!

At work, I love having Miss Belle by my side at the desk. Even when she’s sneezing in my face or relentlessly begging for treats, she always makes my day better 🤍

On my days off, you’ll usually find me hanging out with friends, spending time with my family (especially my 6-month-old niece, Lily!), or heading to the dog park with my friends and their pups.

Fun fact: The best dog name I’ve ever come across is Joe. And yes, I’ve had my share of embarrassing moments—like accidentally sending a dog home without their groom. Oops!

I’m so grateful to be doing what I love every day, surrounded by amazing animals and people!

Another team spotlight! Today, we’re thrilled to celebrate one of our groomers, Aerial 📣
Aerial joined us with a background as a dog trainer and experience as a doggie daycare attendant. Her natural ability to connect with animals was immediately clear, but it’s her deep compassion and genuine care for every pet she works with that truly sets her apart. She brings such warmth and dedication to our team, and we’re so lucky to have her!

We asked Aerial a few fun questions, and here's what she had to say.

Today's team spotlight is on someone you're all familiar with, Bree!! Without this lady and her life-long love for all animals, there would be no DaisyBelle Paw Spa. She brought Belle into our lives almost 12 years ago, and just 8 months later, she showed up with Belle's baby sister Daisy. Belle has always been Bree's baby, and Daisy chose me right off the bat. Her work ethic, compassion, and love make her the best partner in this little venture of ours, and I'm one proud mom of this beautiful, hardworking lady!

Here's a little about Bree in her own words.

I'm Bree, I'm the manager of DaisyBelle Paw Spa. I started grooming 11 years ago after my own dog got an injury to her eye ball, I wanted to do my best to make sure all dogs are groomed with love, compassion, and care.
I have 4 dogs, my shih tzu Belle, my chiweenie Honey, and two pitties, Chappie and Lucy. Those girls are my world.
Working with animals is always something I wanted to do. Since I was a small child, I have been saving stray dogs and cats from the street, driving my parents crazy. 🤣 even volunteering at a local wildlife sanctuary as a teen. I love being able to work with dogs who have had bad experiences or trauma and making them comfortable and sometimes even excited for the activity again.
I spend my days off cuddled up on the couch, reading a book or outside, enjoying the weather with my boyfriend and our dogs.

Today's team spolight is on Adrianne! She's one of my absolute favorite people in the world! She's also my youngest child and Bree's baby sister.❤️ She’s hardworking and continues to challenge herself to learn and grow as a groomer. She's either laser focused on her work or finding an opportunity to have some fun and love on some dogs. She's been part of the team since day 1 and has much input on our day to day business. I think she's pretty great. She'll be taking some time off this summer to welcome her new baby!! Here's a little about Adrianne in her own words.

I started working as a bather when DaisyBelle first opened and was then trained by Bree to become a groomer and have now been grooming for two and a half years. Many people know that Brenda and Bree are a mother and daughter dou that run the salon together, but only a few know that Brenda has another daughter that works there, me!

Some fun facts about me are that I am married to a Marine veteran who I got to live in Japan with for three years before we came home and had our first daughter who is now four years old. While living in Japan, I earned my Associates Degree in Business Management. We just bought our first home and are currently seven months along with baby girl #2😊🎉

I have a one year old blue heeler/bully/pitbull mix at home named Kiwi🥝 She LOVES playing in water, so our summertime activities include a lot of playtime in the sprinkler. Her best friend in the whole world is Brenda’s dog Moose🫎

My favorite parts of working at DaisyBelle are getting to work with my family (as well as the rest of our awesome staff) and even better the doggy cuddles!!

Today, our team spotlight is on Mikayla. She's the newest member of our bathing team and comes to us with lots of experience. Her love for dogs is evident in the ways she handles and cares for them. She's hardworking, and her witty comebacks are always good for a laugh. We're so happy to have this sweet, funny lady on our team!

Here's a bit about Mikayla in her own words.

I have been bathing dogs for a while now. I have previous experience working in animal hospitals. I have bathed sick dogs, boarding dogs, daycare dogs, and injured dogs, as well as cats too!

I have two pitbulls, a female and a male, as well as two female senior cats. My cats are pretty independent, and they like to do their own thing, lol. I have a siamese cat named KeKe, and my other cat is a grey tabby her name is Kitten. My two pits are the sweetest dogs. My female is a shorter pit with a white coat and tan around her eyes. Her name is RiRi. She loves to smile at people and absolutely loves attention. My dad’s friend found her out by a dumpster in the rougher area of Tulsa back in November 2021, and she has been with us ever since. My male pitbull is a bit taller than my female. His name is Bubba, and he has a dark grey coat with some white. I have had Bubba since he was a puppy. My dad’s friend found him and two others in an abandoned house in the middle of July of 2018. He is an absolute cuddle bug. He is definitely my favorite pet for sure.

My favorite thing about working with animals is their company. I enjoy their company because they are always loyal to you. In my opinion an animal's company is the best kind of company. They always bring you joy no matter what is going on in your life. I also love to learn how they behave, and I absolutely love learning their unique personalities!!

My favorite way to spend my off day from work is definitely napping and catching up on my laundry. But nap before the laundry, of course.😂
The best pet name I encountered while being in the animal field was definitely Kevin. 😂 I met this dog while I was working at an animal hospital. He was a pug, and the name was just funny to me and because of his personality. He was a crazy guy and was always barking at the big dogs like he was tough or something. 😂

My favorite thing to do with my dogs at home is definitely napping. My dogs love to cuddle, and they love to nap!

We've decided to spotlight all the hardworking folks who take such pride in caring for your dogs.

First up is Olivia, we hired her as part of our bathing team, with very little experience, but we knew right away that this lady loves animals! She's turned into a wonderful, highly talented part of our team, and we feel great about the chance that we took on her! Thanks for choosing to be part of our team, Olivia!!

Here's a little about Olivia in her own words

I have been bathing dogs for 5 months.

I have a Great Pyrenees/ Lab mix named Franklin Hopscotch Noodle that we took in off the streets after he was dumped on our road. I also have a Quarter Horse, Elianna, as well as two barn cats, Zac and Hazel.

I am a full-time student at TCC, and I volunteer once a week at Skiatook Paws and Claws Animal Rescue.

My favorite thing about working with animals is, of course, the animals themselves. Dogs are such gentle and forgiving souls. Whether I’m with a dog at the rescue who’s eyes still hold a glimmer of hope and love toward people even after all they have been through, or a dog at the groomers who gives you kisses even though you are giving them a bath, dogs have a huge part of my heart. I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else.

The best names are always Duke and Daisy, though admittedly, I am biased. Those were the names of my two heart dogs. I cherish the 15 years I had with them.

My favorite thing to do with my dog is this game we play twice a day when I come back from feeding my horse and barn cats. He will lay down on the hill and stare at me, and I slowly “stalk” toward him. When I get about 15 feet away, he jumps up into a play bow and races toward me, and we start rough-housing together. It’s great.

My most embarrassing moment had to be when I lost my grip on the water nozzle, and it started dancing like a snake, spraying water everywhere. Thankfully, I got a grip on it again rather quickly, but not before spraying one of my coworkers and a few dogs.

People would be surprised to learn that I have published five books!

I have too many hobbies for my own good, but some of them include: horseback riding, writing, baking, archery, four-wheeling, and going on mission trips.
