🥰Rusty and Shiloh just got here and are rescue dogs. They are working on all the basic manners and socialization. After we do some foundation training they will go on a couple field trips to train around people, other dogs, distractions and reactivity.

Part-Time Kennel Assistant
*Must be at least 16 years old to apply*

Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning kennels (dog & cat)
- Caring for our residents (feeding, giving medications, exercising animals, etc.)
- People skills (answering the phone, assisting our visitors, assisting volunteers, showing the animals to potential adopters, etc.)

We are looking for somebody who is…
- Responsible
- Reliable
- Respectful
- Compassionate
- Detail-oriented
- Has a good work ethic
- A good communicator/listener
Most importantly, we are looking for someone with a heart for animal welfare.

HOURS: 8-10 hours per week, Wednesday mornings and Sunday morning, with the potential for more hours.

PAY: $13 per hour

🐾We have a full house this weekend! 🐾

I currently just do boarding for my clients. So most of these pups are just staying the weekend.
They have had a great day outside with the cooler temp!
I always introduce slowly and usually I can get everyone hanging out together.

So let's introduce everyone!

🐾Nyx the Doberman here for another week. Doing fabulous in her board and train!

🐾Ginger the German Shepherd and sister Greta the smallest black mix. Greta's first time here and is having a blast!

🐾Bailey the black lab mix has been here before a few times. It's like her 2nd home.

🐾 Draco the American Bully and his brother Harry the Airedale Terrier are my family's dogs.

🤣Last pic... Domino is ready for everyone to go home so he can have mom's full attention. He laid in yard mean- mugging everyone and me after a bit.

👏Meet Skyler!

Skyler has started working with us as a trainer.
She has experience already working with dogs and has 2 rescue dogs of her own. She has a passion and love for training and it shows.

🐾Aria is a Great Pyrenees/ border collie mix. Halo is a German shepherd.🐾

Skyler is excited to learn more and grow with Marley's Day Out Dog Training. 🐶

She will be doing Daycare Training Days and Group Classes to start and then will be taking some Private Lesson clients soon.

We did 2 different out and about lessons today! These are one of my favorite sessions to do. 🤩

🐾Mercy the golden went to Hobby Lobby. She has been working hard on her distractions. She LOVES people and so we are working on her behaving til she has permission to say hello.

🐾Josie the mini aussie went to Pet Supplies Plus - Owasso, OK
Josie is also working on her distraction training and socialization. She is unsure with people. My littlest assistant helped me train with her today and owner let her walk her a bit.

❤️ 🌃 We did a late night, date night with Franklin and Andre! It is so hot... so we scheduled a late evening private lesson.

These boys are learning to behave on their walks together. Andre has some reactivity and we have been working on his positive association with people coming in his house too. 🏡

🏊‍♂️They have a nice new shop for all things swim and scuba diving in BA.
Check them out!

Gnocci has been through advanced obedience with us and is well trained. He is working on some reactivity and being unsure with some new people at the shop.

🤗Thank you to everyone who has messaged, called and commented about my husband. 💗

My nature is to stay busy and I have responsibilities with my kids and dogs so I'm doing ok. 😌

👉Resuming training next week with a modified schedule. I will make a separate post for client's group.

I wanted to share a personal video of my daughter with our own dogs. Some of you have met Kane the Boxer and Lucy the Cavalier. We have big and small around here and everyone gets along. 🤗

Lucy is a fun lil girl and my daughter cracks up at her and "trains" her too.. Lucy is pretty good but obviously needs to brush up on her stay. It was a cute release though when she decided to crawl. 🤣

Kane the Boxer is very in tune to my daughter and honestly I think he loves her more than me. 😆

He is obsessed with the green car she pushes around. That is his high prey drive. But she can get him to behave. I love watching her train and I'm hoping she wants to continue and take over the business.

Clients , Friends and Followers

Some of you met my husband Matt. He came mostly to group classes and some private lessons.

Matt took his own life on Sunday evening.

The demons of his depression took him from me.

After his neck surgery, we had plans to have him become a part of Marley's Day Out and work with me. It only made sense.

He absolutely loved the dogs. If you asked him he would say almost every class- "I'm just here to pet the puppies!"

Please be patient with me when I start training again. New inquiries for training will be addressed as quickly as possible.

This is so very hard. I'm just remembering always watching him love and pet the dogs and my own of course.
They truly were an emotional support for him more than I realized.

He will be missed so much. Our love was the kind I truly didn't think existed for me.

I love you My Mattie ❤️
And yes, I'll pet the puppies for you.
