We have been fostering for the Daviess County Animal Care and Control for over 10 years. In that time we have fostered hundreds of animals and adopted several as well. Last year we adopted a beautiful senior Siberian Husky who was heartworm positive. We named him Zion. While treating Zion’s heartworms, we learned that he was a very finicky eater. We tried to find foods and treats that he would eat
and because he would not eat much, we knew it had to be quality. With very little on the market that fit Zion's needs, he began to research how to make not only food for him but treats as well. We have been making wholesome treats for Zion and our English Bull Dog Gracie for several months now and we realized that we are not the only people who want better for their pups. And so, “The Barkers Dozen” was created. We make these treats in small batches weekly so that we do not compromise on the quality or flavor. Now, we can offer wholesome, human-grade treats to other animal lovers looking for quality treats for their fur babies. With every package sold we take a portion of the proceeds and donate it back to local animals in need. It is our way to say “Thank you” for introducing us to one of the most special members of our family! We hope your pups can taste the love that we put into every treat.
